I've also had very bad lag spikes (up to 30 sec) every evening so far for about 2 maybe 3 weeks until recently when I was kicked out of the game (for the first time) with 90000 followed up by not being able to login with a 10102 error. Found this thread here and decided to post because why not.
Starting that same day, like someone flipping a switch, the insane lag was gone. o.O
Mine doesn't route through Cogent and I'm not experiencing 90k errors, lag or anything else that can't be chalked up to SE actually rebooting a server.
I think you misunderstand how the internet works. First you create a thread, and then you invite people to reply to it. Then when someone thinks they're a smarter know-it-all, it gets derailed into who's the smarter know-it-all. Then ponies.Quote:

No, I expect SquareEnix to engage with their customers regardless instead of flat out ignoring them. And as already stated I have not seen the routing issues you are quick to diagnose.
We can argue back and forth about this until the end of days so lets get back on track with the original intent of the OP.
Because currently the community is being ignored by SquareEnix and gathering whatever fancy reports you like will not change that!Quote:
This is a plea to other players. We need SE to respond, we need something to restore a modicum of faith in the company. Don't just reply with your IP, location, etc in that other thread. Reply here or make your own threads. Keep it as civil as you can. But we all know frustration needs to be expressed, to let them know how much we care.
Strange, I rarely see players from EU talking about this but it seems like more US players have problems (I see Gogent popping up every now and then).
I've been having huge problems with lag the past three days. I do a ping test or tracert and I get 40ms which is perfect but in-game its a nightmare. I can cast a spell and then move immediately to see if it interrupts - it doesn't, I see myself running and casting. If it's a 2sec spell that would in theory mean that I got 2000ms >.<
Talked to my ISP, they say they do not have any records of throttling the EU Datacenter. I do a Speedtest, no problems whatsoever. By the way, why does EU and NA have combined datacenters when EU players connect to a different IP than US players? When I did my tracert it looked like I hit a VPN server, so maybe we're being routed through a tunnel to Canada?
I heard some guy saying that you can have bad luck and land on a "bad" server (in the Datacenter cluster) but I obviously have no proof of this.
Raargh, I'm going crazy here! Every day I think it cannot get any worse but it sure does.
yeah the whole ISP is throttling is complete and utter rubbish. Don't let people talk you into that no matter what they say or what their related profession may be. Gone over this with my ISP including a friend who is a upper level tech there and there is no throttling going on. He was basically laughing when he read through this stuff with me. SE needs to step up and do something and if nothing else at least say something. That throttle thread they made is a complete joke and a slap in our faces. My guess is it's something they know they can't fix or just too costly or involves other companies down the line that cannot or won't work with them to solve this but to think it's everyone's ISP causing 90k errors.. laughable.
Why we would think after the utter disaster that was early access it wouldn't be them is beyond me. If it's not directly them they are associated with the problem is some form or fashion. My guess is the 90k error will never be fixed. Stop blaming ISP's though.. it's insulting.
It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.
