Close. The thought of a new mage to level up and play in the future is not a problem. The fact they removed it and suggested they MIGHT bring it back if they deem it necessary, is the real problem I have. The fact they integrated debuffs in to DD self combos, basically shredding an entire job role with a cheese grater and sprinkling it over the damage dealers. They continue to simplify the game and all you care about is what color you want your armor and chocobo to be.

What else is left to conclude from this statement? "Yoshida has taken it too far!!" lol. You must be really desperate defending yourself at this point. Yes you are. The sooner you realize this, the better you're off. How the hell do you deduce what I am complaining about in my OP? You're literally picking a fight here.

I only complained about the removal of enfeeble spells.
If you have not added 1 and 1 yet, you can see how YoshiP has decided to streamline an entire role, enfeebling, in to EVERY DD class. Where is the tactics involved in this? Positioning yourself behind the mobs? Wow...that's really using your noggin there guys.

of course this is all guess work on my behalf. but i like to think its an educated guess with the info we have, we have been told that yoshi wants to balance out casters/mages there is not enough compared to DoW. he also said beastmaster/summoner was the DoM he had in mind for next, also in the live letters part 2, he did hint that we could get beastmaster/summoner before 2.0, i'm not going to look up to quote, but the hint was when he said "ppl might see these sooner than they think" so this makes me think they are hard at work on this and debuff mage is on the back burner not scraped. and finally the reason i am so sure we have a debuff mage to look forward to in 2.0, is because an arcanist would make a great debuff mage and the guild is already there.

of course all guess work on my part, but it seems like a plan to me

Oh my gosh I am so blind. You are right - blind, paralyze, silence, and slow adds so much strategy to the game - how silly was I. Wow, really, I am a moron for sure.

Tactics? They are adding tactics, you really are the moron here, you have got to see that because every time you use that word you embody it even more. As you have mentioned in a different thread, debuffs are still here, though they are part of the combo system. If you have looked at the combo system at all you would realize how much strategy they actually add to the game. They incorporate positioning and timing, it isn't a simple click of a button and a debuff lands on the target instantly making it attack slower or silencing it.

I really don't understand how you can claim tactics have been removed from the game with everything we are getting.

Why would they state, "Also, there are no paralyze/poison/silence/absorb/slow and there aren't any plans to implement them before the launch of version 2.0. However, as we move forward, if it becomes absolutely necessary to utilize them, we will look into it."
For an entire year, we will have NO debuff spells. When 2.0 is released and we move forward, IF it is deemed NECESSARY to utilize them, THEY WILL LOOK IN TO IT.

I am not sure if you guys have terrible reading comprehension, or you're all the same idiots that keep stating "the next patch will fix it", but you need to draw the line somewhere and say "Oh shit, this angry guy is right."

Even if you don't care they are removing it, you can at least agree with me on this, they have simplified this to the extreme. Next thing you know, you are going to be able to heal yourself by finishing a combo that blinds your enemy and inflicts 300 damage.

As they progress through patch 1.20, 1.21, 1.22 and so on if they deem it necessary to readd it they will however they have a plan for it for sure with v2.0, it wasn't that hard to understand.

I can be the girl that usually sits there and says "Oh shit, when you stop and think about exactly what it says, it makes sense."

Come on stupid. Positioning is tactical? Are we in the front lines of Omaha beach?? There is nothing tactical about having to stand in front of or behind a mob. Timing I'll take, but giving the benefit of an added debuff on top of some extra damage?

I want to gear myself up in proper gear so I my spells don't miss. Then I want to time a stun, preventing a powerful aoe from possibly killing my party. I want people to be like "Let's get Lucifer for this fight. He has the proper gear and can time stun very well"

What we have instead is combo spaaaaaaammmmmmm. Your stun MIGHT go off when you combo spaaaaaaaammmmm. Thunder has a chance to stun! THUNDER SPAAAAAAAAAM.
