Because their sole purpose isn't just to make money? Putting that aside, doing something which will negative influence the game may prompt people to leave, thereby losing them money in the long run. And I make gil just fine on Balmung. You just have to know what markets to play, when to get out and not necessarily pick the highest selling items.

Anywho, on topic. I really want Tifa's outfits because it would be awesome for my MNK. :D

You left out the part where I said why don't they do both, just saying. Instead of everyone hating on the store why don't we agree to have it both ways? It doesn't have to be just ONE way.

id really love if they added yshtola's new outfit to mogstation, totaly would pay to get that.

We could have it via Grand company, each one giving us the outfit of it's leader (and the money, and the power, and the maids etc :p), could be fun :)
