Riol finally gets the attention he deserves and plays a more prominent role in the story. Seriously, the guy has been loyal for so long and almost nobody even remembers him. Give him some stage time YoshiP!
Someone in another thread made the point that if Thancred had indeed died in ShB, Riol would be the man to take his spot and I could see it lol. In general though, yeah, definitely feels overdue for the B-Tier Scions to get a bit more screentime. I wonder if they'll factor at all post-6.0 or we're getting an entirely new cast of characters?
Speaking of Riol, I really hope (probably not gonna happen) to have Hoary Boulder at least giving some screen and explanation about radz-at-han since he trained there.
These Scions side npcs are so nice and also fun, it is something that I want to see more
It feels like with Fordola being moved forward a bit and Arenvald being given a new situation that makes him more of a unique placement, we may be seeing the B Team getting more shine. Also with the current main story arc ending at 6.0 it would be perfect place/time to essentially retire some of the old guard (even if they don't go as far as killing them off).
Healers getting actually interesting and engaging gameplay.
The ability to romance and marry NPC's in the Harvest Moon content we are getting in 6.1+
There is a part of me that is worried that they are rushing the story to finish in 6.0 instead of the original plan for 7.0 to get to the next story arch as soon as possible and that this might make some of the plot points in the Hydalyn/Zodiark feel rushed or anti-climatic. the recent Bojza storyline supposedly concluding the Dalmascus storyline as well in a field note has me even more concerned that some plot points tied to the previous arch will just be cut off. the two new raids dealing with previous plot points has given me some reassurance that some plot points may take the entire expansion to wrap up.
I am also a tad worried that doing multiple major locations that have been hinted at for years in one expansion will not do them the justice they deserve. I feel that Garlemald and Sharylyan probably were originally going to get their own expansions before having to share and so far it does not feel like there are a ton of zones associated with them. Garlemald especially has me concerned as it only has one zone and that does not feel like enough to do it justice. I might be wrong and they might make up for it by making it an absolutely massive zone larger then any other to date, the benchmark put a big focus on it helps back this up and on the expansion page they make a point of massive zones. Still I hope it at least gets a Doma enclave restoration quest with the Iron works to further flesh it out and even though it is destroyed I do hope it is a more urban zone that is to say that there is more areas inside the ruined city then out in the snowy wastes, we already have snowy zones. I know I have made mention before in the past that I got tired of fighting the same enemies and wanted to see new antagonists and storylines but I do not want it to be at the expense of the storylines set up for over 10 years now.
Other small wishes would be for healers to be fixed with the addition of sage instead of messed up and for female Viera to get some more hairstyles and for both genders to wear most headgear.
I do not want it to seem like I am complaining or doubtful as I have nothing for respect for Yoshi P. and his team, in fact he is one of the few game developers I actually both trust and respect in this day and age and he appears to have helped reform more of Square Enix in recent years as well with the production of FF XVI compared to FF XV being an obvious example but I just had some concerns with the storyline concluding sooner then originally planned and how healers and Viera were handled in ShB.
It's only a small bit of your post but there's some positive news on this front. In the last live letter, when they showed off the new AF sets, they showed a female Viera Ninja with what appeared to be one of the unlockable hairstyles and Yoshi mentioned as an aside that they would be getting more hair options. No clarification on if this includes male ones or how extensive it'll be but it's something.
My biggest wish for Endwalker that will likely never happen, is Z-Axis control added to house decorating interface. Failing that I'd still be ecstatic if we could put all "floor only" furnishings on lofts instead of just tabletop items. That would be a round about way of giving us Z-Axis control without glitching.
Open the Stormblood and Shadowbringers tome vendors earlier. Maybe Stormblood could open when we return from Doma, and Shadowbringers after we chase Vauthry out of Eulmore. We can easily hit the level caps long before hitting the end of the expansion, let us blow our Poetics earlier too.
2.5 was their idea of "short". The beta launched with a 3-second GCD, after all.
But, yes, it is kind of shocking that they've never even seemed to consider swapping over to a 2-second or even 2.25 second (10% Haste baseline) GCD and improved oGCD queuing (or, allowance for more than one queued oGCD per GCD gap) in turn.
If one had effectively no latency (it fell into the queuing period during the prior animation), we could actually still triple-weave so long as the GCD were above 1.8 seconds.
Give me difficult 4 man content that is OPTIONAL and isn't yet another iteration of deep dungeons. Feel like I gotta bold this because some of y'all like to come in shouting "But what if they make it mandatory!?"
Palace of the Dead and Heaven on High aren't mandatory for anything other than the rewards they offer, even the Shadowbringer relics can be worked on via fates, alliance raids, dungeons, normal raids and Bozja.
More engaging and repeatable normal content...
Any sort of update to chocobo racing and a revamped chocobo breeding system. Getting to rank 9 was tedious enough, but getting a perfect chocobo is way worse.
Viera and hrothgar hats and hairs
Better glamour system (like we have in WoW)
Better dye system (Like we have in GW2)
More options in character customization (more faces, eyes, tails, ears, tattoos, etc)
Bunny tails and ear wiggles for vieras
Option to change day/night and climate in gpose
Better fingers and toes
More content for blue mage
removal of anything thats not teaching the game in mentor chat chanel.
mentor chat its useless, a players learn mutch more just doing duty finder than chating in mentor chanel. actually, just remove mentors, a quick search in google for dungeons ands raids are more usefull and more specific to help newbies.
For Zenos and his little tantrum to fade into the background as we instead deal with a much bigger, more interesting meta-verse threat that leads us to the other shards. >w>
To elaborate: World of Warcraft has a catalogue that lists every single piece of gear that can be used for transmogrification (glamouring). Any time a player acquires a piece of soulbound gear, or equips a "bind on equip" piece of gear, it is unlocked in the catalogue permanently. In other words, you don't have to devote 400+ inventory spaces (the glamour dresser) to holding glamour gear in WoW's system.
Lol if anyone's having a tantrum it's Fandaniel. Zenos would of been perfectly fine with dying after having the best fight of his life and then leaping off the mortal coil via slicing his own throat wide open, if his Resonant abilities hadn't caused him to body snatch some random Elezen.
2 things :
- Cid's beard, or any proper beard or even any proper short-hair haircut.
- Getting back healer dps skills.
I want Stormblood aggro management and Heavensward era tank stating and gear options back.
I was hoping for Endwalker to get more Primals. I know we probably won't face anymore primals at least not maybe until 6.x but I wanted a Primal based on an Egyptian god. I think also the hindu god Ganesha would of been a good primal because of the new beast tribe.
massive expansion to glamour dresser/armoire.
All I have leveled on this character is DNC and my dresser is already nearly full.
A hard loss. A really hard L. Or something to the effects of the Dark Knight 30-50 quest. Something that can take us down a notch before going in to the future. At this point I wouldn't be surprised it there isn't some secret cult just watching us and worshiping us.
- That they finally fix the physics to work correctly at FPS higher than 60.
- That they fix/replace the shadows engine so that shadows don't flicker/disappear so much; add a more dynamic shadows system.
- That they improve the global lighting system so it has a deeper level of variety.
Since we kept the stone of Azem, it'd be cool if we actually used it during trials to summon other players or whatever.
The option to queue in DF for an unsynced group. People really don't like driving, so this would make it a simpler matter for getting groups for WT and some farming.
Yeah, I'd like to see the same thing. Maybe along the lines of a XI 2-hour ability, but you can use it no matter which job you're on once past the relevant fight. If nothing else, I hope it wasn't a one-off and we at least use it in cutscenes to go medieval on whoever.
SE actually takes on the housing issues and fully resolves most of them, resulting in a lot of the player base being able to acquire a house reasonably.
