I can now add downloading new ethernet drivers from Realtek and instructing my computer to never turn the ethernet device off to save power. I've also disabled UPnP. It doesn't work. At all.

At this point I'm thinking to try and log in with my SO's account on my computer when he's not playing and see if it happens then. Who knows. I'll ask him if he's ok with that and give it a crack. Maybe that could narrow it down to an issue with the Steam version of the game or something.

Last time around I was able to resolve the issue when I replaced my motherboard. So I've ordered a new one, installed it, and... not fixed. I've disabled Large Send Offload again on the new one. Still nothing.

Look, everything else about my internet and every other online game I can play right now can handle this perfectly fine. Whatever is causing it must be local to my computer, because my SO on the same LAN is having no issues whatsoever. Uninstalling the Steam Version and playing the Windows Version on my SO's account still has disconnects. I've swapped every conceivable piece of hardware to no avail. What do I need to do?

This may not be your fault, it's the ISP or the datacenter (highway of internet) is having packet lost somewhere. Best is to get a cheap VPN to bypass route to a different network (highway). Back in 2010. My old home internet just plain suck no matter what provider I choose. That is the problem with one of the Central Office (electrical box around a block to at provide networks) is bad or old.

After I moved, same provider, no issues. MMO has high packet transmission than any other online typical games, same goes for LoL etc. Other online games only up to 8 players. We are talking about thousands of movements in game + chat + interactions (ie. Limsa) - so a 1 second of packet lost is like missing 500 interactions on your screen vs 8 players maybe 5-6 actions.

It's no ones fault but SE, I see people here and in many other posts about the same issue jumping through hoops to try and fix a problem that is obviously not on their side, at least in my case, the problem start to occure exactly at the time servers start to get busier (around 7pm GMT-3) and the lag starts to get unbearable and it start to frequently disconnect, I then went to another MMO and it was completely fine, I even went and created a character in another less populated world, since I'm playing in a preffered one, and it was fine.. so it's obsviously a server problem that they choose to keep denying and throwing it at us

If it is server problem, then rest of the community will face the same issue. Everyone live and play from different part of the world, each connection takes different route to connect to the server in Las Vegas (last known where the server is now hosted) - it used to be in Montreal, Canada.

Just happen the player who is having issue the route to the server that passthrough a certain network node (datacenter) is having some issues. It's not the player fault nor the SE control the datacenter.

This started randomly for me as of thursday. Had absolutely no issues before, and all of a sudden I'm running a dungeon and get booted all the way back to the main character selection and then have to wait for the que to log out my character and the server que because the world is full. This is extremely frustrating when it happens more than two or three times in the same dungeon and eventually you get kicked from the party. The only thing that stopped it was restarting my ps4, since restarting the client just seemed to disconnect me faster while I was in game.

Hello, came back to ff14 a week or 2 ago. Been getting this error more and more frequently. Is there any word from SE about this?

Adding to the headcount of players effected by this stuff. Though a bit more extreme in my case as it is crashing my entire net. The game begins to have the typical lagging out and then getting 9k errored but my entire network becomes unable to connect to things for up to 5 to 10 minutes until it sorts itself out and when trying to log back in my character "still isn't logged out" as well.

You should all try a VPN and test it. If the VPN works, that is your default ISP routing issues. Not the server because everyone else is in the game server is running fine - it is server issue, reddit/forum will be exploded with everyone chatting about it.

Had this issue and direct x issue. I spent weeks researching a solution. I would spend my whole day trying suggestion after suggestion to no avail. I did literally everything you could think of on multiple computers (including complete clean install of windows, updating and only installing the game). I saw multiple people with the same issues having no luck. I saw all of their posts closed without a solution. Mine was closed because I unsubed when I couldn't play the game. It's without a doubt on their side. After months of being unable to play.

I re-installed the game and so far I've been able to play for a few days. This has happened before so I'm not holding my breath. It just seems like luck

It's certainly not the players' problem to fix. It is, however, Square's problem to fix. They need to get in contact with whoever has authority over the nodes with the highest occurrence of issues and have them reroute the traffic through a more stable node. That's what a MMO company handles.

Add me to the list! I've been running route traces the last few days to see where the problem is (because after several days of hecking with my home network, I knew it sure as heck wasn't me!), and middle of last week, packets were dropping off in some random places, but the last couple days, they are most definitely dropping off at the game datacenter. I've just started messing around with some VPNs so we'll see how that goes (so far, not well).

I'll disconnect doing anything. Or nothing. Disconnected 4 times just trying to set up one screenshot in gpose the other day. Rude af.

Have 3 error message: 90002,90006 and 2002. First when i try to connect to lobby (its 2002 error). When i connect and i try to login to world (its 90002 error). And if i finally login but ingame there is no npc and people and dc within 3 min (its 90006). I try every "solutions"for this errors but nothing work. I'm having 90001 disconnects. Some days it's 6-7 times, some days it only happens once. I'd love to figure out what is causing this before the next xpac and long queues start up.

I've recently started having this issue constantly since the latest Hotfixes. I have two friends having this issue as well. One I live with and share the same network, both on PC but a friend in a different city has the same issue on PlayStation 5. While connected to the Elemental Data Centre, usually playing on Tonberry there are no concerns but playing on Aether or Crystal, usually Sargatanas or Zalera related, it's constant disconnects. Don't have the issue with any other game, streaming service or other internet-related activites. Just FFXIV, specifically the North American Data Centres.

I personally resolved to uninstall and re-install the entire game and it actually got worse. Still fine on Elemental though... and we are all Australian as well. Had two other friends have connection issues as well the previous week but they haven't been on recently to check if the issue is still happening, they both play on PC. I also have a friend in New Zealand who doesn't have any connection issues, who plays on PC, but just interesting to note.

Been having this issue for years it seems now. I came back a month ago and everything was fine. Then the old rubber banding and packet drop issues came roaring back.

I've noticed more than a few people here have Spectrum and are possibly on the west coast. Either way, I give up SE. You tricked me into getting Endwalker despite this issue making the game unplayable. I'm not even mad anymore, just utterly disappointed I won't be able to enjoy a game I want to like.

I also recently started to have this issue after few patches. I have Verizon's FIOS which works fine when I play WoW even when I play on multiple accounts in WoW - I have no lag or disconnects. When I start to play FFXIV and do things like changing a zone or going into dungeon or potd - I start to have lag where all abilities are delayed for few seconds and after some time I get a disconnect with 90002 error. I tested it today - every time I joined PotD solo I got disconnects with 90002 error after few minutes or less, same goes when I teleported into housing area. I know it's not an issue with my network connection because other games work fine. I don't know why only FFXIV becomes unplayable with the random disconnects and it only does that when I teleport to a different area or instance. I guess Square Enix just doesn't want my money and I think I'll use that money on some other game.

I'm having the error 90002 on just one character, my other alt is fine

Dealing with this issue as well, specifically in instances. This includes solo instances as well.

Almost every time I go into Delubrum Reginae I D/C before the first boss and have lag throughout. I also experience a lot of lag in dungeons and other alliance raids. I thought it was my internet but the game runs fine when I'm not in an instance. Haven't tried the tips being thrown around by the mods yet but I will soon.

I just did an experiment. I uninstalled game completely then I reinstalled it. I logged into game, spent like 15 minutes in Limsa Lominsa, without any disconnects. As soon as I went into PotD solo - disconnect with error 90002 within few minutes. I logged back into game, spent some time in Quarrymill without disconnects. Then I tried to go into PotD again as a matched party, within first minute I got disconnected with same error. Then I logged into WoW Classic and spent some time in there without any lag or disconnects. The issue is absolutely with Square Enix's servers.

I've been getting 90006 errors all night. Doing a ping against 204.2.229.9, about 1 in 10 requests fails. My traceroute is as follows:

Internet has been acting strange in general, but 3 disconnects in 5 minutes is a bit much.

have three users in the house who login to ff14 and it is random who gets selected to get stuck in 9006 he**.

It's been hitting me particularly hard for the last few days. Just got kicked from Deltascape 3.0 alongside 2 others. I don't think this only is my ISP's issue, since many people are also experiencing the lag and disconnects at the same time.

I bet we're getting DDOSed again.

I've been having troubles connecting to the server too.

I was able to log in and attempt to connect with my character, but I kept getting 90002 and 2002 errors. I tried all the usual tricks to fix it, I restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled FFXIV, rebooted my router, disabled Large Send Offload, tried disabling my Windows Firewall, changed my DNS server settings, etc.

Now, I can't even get into the launcher. "Unable to download patch files [11003]"

The game was working just fine for the first week or so of my sub but now I have no idea what to do.

I've also been having issues with this problem. It seems to come back every once in a while and effectively makes the game unplayable for a day or two.

Same issue for me, i just subbed to this game and its been 5-6 92001/2s daily and its really bad when im tanking a dungeon and it happens and then i get the privilege of waiting back in queue to just get into the game again to an unhappy group cause their tank isnt around.:mad:

It started doing it for me today. I've been playing fine for weeks, had a few hiccups here and there but now today 2002 errors, 90002 and 10105 errors when I can get through the lobby. Connection showing as poor when just yesterday it was showing as excellent. No clue what changed, but nothing on my end.

Based on the thread, seems like Square Enix is giving Blizzard quality service when it comes to game issues. Basically ignore the issue and hope it goes away in the patch...

I would think they would hop on this fix or put out some press about it, be kind of bad for all of the WoW players coming over to play FFXIV for the first time to be greeted with this crap.

Ive been playing the game for about a week and today I cant access the game due to the 90002 error. Game has been working fine up in till this point, but seems im unable to continue with these errors.

I'm also getting a log in error 10105 but its mostly the 90002 seems like. I've found all the trouble shooting pages, and have tried a few to no avail, but honestly, I shouldn't have to bother with any of these as a customer of a subscription only game.

Very frustrating

Have been playing almost nonstop for the last month or so without any issues. I wake up this morning (the morning of June 15th) and start having these issues. Initially I was able to log in after a few attempts, but now I cannot log in at all. Getting 90002, 10105, 2002, and a few other errors. The only one that is consistent is the 90002.

A few notes:
1. AS stated above I have had literally no issue before today.

2. I can usually make it to character selection, and sit through the que for my server (Gilgamesh) but after the que when the loading screen comes up that's where most of the errors occurs.

3. I too have also gone through every troubleshooting post that I could find in the forums. Even though I am fairly confident its not on my end as nothing (Hardware, software, drivers, etc.) has changed on my end.

Same issues here, also on Spectrum. Consistently disconnecting when either attempting to connect to the data center (2002) or when logging in (90002). Consistently able to connect to other games and services, but have not been able to log onto FFXIV since yesterday (6/15/2021). Using command prompt ping gets me 100% packet loss when attempting to ping the Aether Datacenter.

Same issues for me to, been having them since yesterday. I am getting a combination of 2002, 90002 and 10105.

Reposting what I had written on my home server:

Yesterday I tried to log in and got the 10105 error.
I restarted my computer and continued to get an error, this time 9002.
Okay, I tried turning my firewall off to see if my firewall was the cause and instead got 10105 again, then once it was off for a few seconds, started getting 2002 errors.
I turned my firewall back on and started getting the 10105 error again.
I tried resetting my router, and continued to get the 9002 error this time.
Finally, I sucked it up... and uninstalled and reinstalled.
Tried logging in just now and continued to get the 9002 error.

I'm unable to connect my computer to any cables because of my computer/router positioning in my house and I don't have access to a VPN to try any of those methods.

Re-installing felt like my last real option.

I'm downloading ExitLag to try to see if that helps now :(

EDIT: I, also, have spectrum internet.
SECOND EDIT: Tried ExitLag and it DID work after closing the program and re-opening it. I have no idea if it'll continue to work if I close exitlag out, admittedly. But so far I'm running fine.

I also play WoW and several steam games. I have had no issues with those and only seem to be having issues with FFXIV. =/ (As mentioned in my post - i'm also on spectrum, are we thinking it's a provider issue??)

things seem to be better now. logged on no issues twice and a row and even played.

I am still have constant freezes when I'm specifically in the Duty Finder.

* The game will stop responding for 10-20 seconds at a time.
* Sending and Receiving both go to 0.
* My character appears to be performing actions, but everyone around me stops like Alexander's freeze time.
* When the game finally catches up, all events that occurred while I was frozen happen rapidly in sequence.
* This occurs while using my empty connection, as well as when I use a gaming VPN (WTFast) to route elsewhere.
* The VPN sees nothing wrong. Pings to the server continue without interruption.
* I am on a WIRED ETHERNET CONNNECTION.
* This issue doesn't happen with nearly the frequency in cities or the open world, but I've noticed it very rarely while interacting with retainers.
* This is a brand heckin new gaming computer with beefy tech. It ain't the computer.

These issues began LAST SUNDAY after Lamia experienced a terrible terrible crash and booted everyone off. Prior to that, I experienced this kind of lag, but not with nearly this frequency.

I am also on Charter Spectrum.

SE PLEASE CONTACT CHARTER SPECTRUM AND GET THEM TO FIX THEIR NODES TO STOP ASSUMING XIV TRAFFIC IS A DDOS
