That reminds me of the many times I pulled a bomb mob between the parties so it can self-destruct.

Want to buy FF13 now!!!!
Damn you afro-man and your chocobo chick!
Only person kidding themselves is you.

That's a fairly decent size, since all we have to go on is screenshots of what LOOKs like a tiny area, is why people say Davoi is bigger.
I really think people make it a mission to talk down the better FF online whenever it's mentioned.
Actually I don't care if they are separate zones, I would just like a certain part of each zone have a nice big open world beastmen camp something about the size of Ghelsba Outpost from FFXI. Maybe down the road in different zones give them a bigger fortress whether it be in caves or above ground or wherever.
I don't see why everyone harps that the dungeon was easy content now, I remember people being baffled at the ogre fight on these forums and then even more baffled when Batraal was discovered. Any content becomes easier when the strategy is figured out by other people and then emulated, but you have to admit the dungeon was pretty difficult before the strategies were figured out and spread to the masses.
However I agree with you on just about every other point. Idk how people on this forum can convince themselves that content is being released at a quicker rate than any other MMO. Rift has I think over 10 dungeons already >_>, and someone on a FFXIV forum accusing TERA of failing is pretty funny.
There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism people, constant blind praise of this game isn't going to do the developers any good.
So people should gimp themselves to make content entertaining?Quote:
Know why it wasn't challenging? Because you were fighting rank 35 NM's at rank 50 using a cookie-cutter setup.
That's dull.
Actually, The three Beastman strongholds in XI were pretty massive, add to that all the content attached to it to make it even bigger and relevant, I understan they might not start like that, but I hope they add quest and events to them over time.
There is no way anyone can undermine the relevance of the strongholds in XI. Not in size or content.
A lot of people seem to assume that it's gonna be a huge army vs. 1 NM with the new claim system; who's to say the more people hitting the NM the more backup the NM will call?
Just like you will deny anything negative about XIV. But at least its doing far better than XIV and only lost 100k Koreans, where as XIV lost over half a million worldwide lol. So I think TERA is doing something right! Even had a leave increase and has many more dungeons and strongholds than XIV and its been out less, in less countries, with plenty more people.
Back to the topic though since people like to derail, this content will not be challenging for a long time, the only time it will be challenging is when no one does any of it anymore because then you wont have other people killing your claimed mobs. So it will be a complete zerg/unchallenging content for a good while.
And there wont be zone links as mobs give up after like 5 seconds XD
It only calls for backup from mobs around, regardless of type but i see hear it will be just the beastmen. Also even if more spawned and it came, the NM would due so quick due to 50 people slamming on it, the adds wont mean much.
I'm pretty sure this is just a sample of one you guys.
I'm sure there is at least one for each beast tribe in their respected areas in this patch.
Or at least i'd hope so.
"should of been"
Dear God, why???
Well tbh... I could care less.
That's probably the most absurd (and presumptious!) statement I've ever heard. Find me one developer commentary/comment/post/blog related to a single MMO of any type that says "So this new content we've just added took us a week." Any new implementation takes months, sometimes up to a year, including conception, design, evaluation and production. Even WoW's "hotfixes" (tiny, server side tweaks) are planned months in advance as discussed in their Coffee Time With The Devs blog.
Now if you're talking about a site posting an announcement that "We want to release a new dungeon soon!" and then said dungeon appears a week later, don't be fooled into thinking that even though they only publicly announced in last week, they haven't been planning it for the past year.
Way to stir the pot.
You know, the best way I can combat the "slow" argument that those people never get, whether it be that they are intellectually incapable or just plain doesn't want to make rational thoughts being poisoned by the korean flashy grinders, but there is a completely simple reason for the content coming in at the pace that is it.
When you go back to the beginning of January and think, they had to look at the game in it's entirety, look at the content that was in the works being developed --which actually is worked on and planned way in advance and even before the game is launched-- then plan and develop either over what it's foundation is or completely rewrite it. This isn't a normal thing for MMOs. When they are released and it goes well, already in the works prior to that launch is the future content that will be received in patches. Giving enough time for players to get settled and breath and explore this world then implement the content on time to keep them engaged.
FFXIV never had this luxury. This is something that is not a secret. So, why do people ridicule it when they know very well what the reasons are. It is not unreasonable what SE had done when they got the message they f***ed up. I'm getting a little off topic. What I am trying to say is this situation is unlike what most "modern MMOs" are going through. So, why hold that standard to them when it is common knowledge that their development schedule is patch release to patch release? This isn't like other MMOs where they never had to redevelop their game and could work on a very much planned timeline of expected completed and released content.
Didn't SE say certain monsters will be claim locked... Don't think people will be gangbanging the NM's, also this update is HUGE. I'm more worried about how long it's gonna take to DL it. lol
for at least the first month this will be a slaughter fest. should make hitting 50 easy on my thm though since i can aoe every target on screen and get xp for everything that dies. If you cant claim the nm either things are gonna get crazy.
hopefully its a maze.
This isn't going to be the only stronghold. XD
well i know theres going to be at least one more cause a while back SE showed a concept sketch of what would be the kobald stronghold. and i wouldn't be surprised if they also have the bird people's stronghold too.
im not sure if they are all going to be implemented on 1.19 but im expecting them to implement the other 2 shortly after
It's mainly people like Viion, yet he continues to stick around for no reason.
He can't, and he'll gladly ignore you or twist it around to try to make him sound right. It's what he does.
I deny anything negative about FFXIV...? lol Sorry that the MMORPG you like is failing and you can't accept that it's not as good as you think. You really don't read anything I post then, considering I always state that XIV would have been better off building off of FFXI, meaning I'm pretty much stating that there's a lot of negative developments with XIV and even SE admits they screwed up, so think of a better counterarguement that actually makes sense. Also, Tera didn't lose "only 100k koreans" lol, it's constantly losing people which is why they're scrambling and hoping the next 'grand' update stimulates the game. Not to mention over in the Japanese side, many still feel the price is too much for what little the game offers, so unless things heavily change with Tera, it's not in a good state at all. Not to mention the delay into 2012 for the western release wasn't helping it's image nor hype at all. Much like SE with XIV, they're pushing to make the next release "the saving the grace", Tera is actually getting more expensive to develop for than they are actually making in net profit.
Try harder.
"But at least it's doing far better than a game well known to be mocked for being released in a poor condition!"Quote:
But at least its doing far better than XIV
Again, that's basically choosing the lesser of two evils, but considering your hacking ways, I doubt you know what that means.
I heart you Jennestia
More beastman strongholds and numerous other notorious monsters aside from those mentioned above will descend to plague Eorzea come patch 1.19. Adventurers are urged to keep their weapons honed and armor sound ahead of this mounting threat.
also i recall them saying the content will most likely be split up into a and b
Except they dont mention 1.19a or 1.19b for that particular post
Everything they have given us now in terms of info will be in the initial patch. They will usually state otherwise.
