Also there is no disconnect between the forums and in game or at least not as big as you make it seem to be, the only difference is the amount of newer players which of course changes the opinion as they have a backlog of content to do. The opinion shifts once people are done with that backlog.

Nah I dont think the devs need to apologise...if everyone done the survey and exhibited mass complaints I could imagine them making statements. While their approach to engagement metrics is a little concerning I personally don't see why they should. The moderation team should apologise for letting this forum go into the dirt because its not even remotely been productive its all about causing drama and being louder then the other and has provided very little substance to actually consider feedback.

While there hasn't been much for me to play the resources have been spent to make new players experiences easier and more fluid...they don't intend a new start point and I would happily take the resource hit for the endgame to improve the very dated foundation or beginning of the game. They have done a lot of good and I think for the most part it is in a good place for the new player experience. Dawntrail and beyond can now focus on content types and longevity and pour resources in there instead now.

Yoshida should personally come to my house and apologise for adding the loporrits to the game.

I have played games where the devs tried to "save the game" by listening to the players. usually they are not around for long after that because the majority of players didnt usually sign up to play what the "listened" to players want to play. I suspect the same thing here honestly.

when it comes right down to it, I do not believe they need to apologize as long as we keep paying for what they are offering. if we REALLY dislike what they are doing, we shouldnt pay for it. I am not thrilled with the solo direction, but I can live with it for now. its their game, they make the rules and the playing field. to expect an apology for them following their direction for the game seems rather entitled. if I dont like it enough, I'll leave, and still consider my money well spent for the time I have been entertained by the game.
