I have almost all of the obtainable mounts ingame and I still prefer the mogstation motorcycle I bought ages ago. There's just nowhere to show them off and I'd rather see my motorcycle.

I mean, there probably isn't an explanation that would make sense imo. Cash shops exist to generate more profit than subs could/generate extra income in general. If one person buys a Shadowkeeper mount they're effectively paying the sub cost of 2-3 people. If the money all goes back into the game (which I doubt but I'll humor it) then we'd be able to have more things added into the game than just subs alone could fund. When housing was first opened and the game was a lot smaller, I can see the logic behind opening it then to help push out more things that subs couldn't cover. I'm only speculating here but perhaps the sub costs were enough to keep the game going but adding servers for housing was a bit out of reach (considering Square's mentality on funding things, I wouldn't be shocked). However now, I heavily think that some is funneled back into other projects at SE + the devs have picked some hills to die on (such as being dead set on ward housing being exclusive no matter what, so some things we want we just never will get period).

In a nutshell, we have cash shop so Square can squeeze more money out of us for unknown things and some basic features that are in other games that we'd expect to see here might not even happen if the devs don't want it to.

Not even worth buying tbh. Uses generic music instead of music from the actual raid LMAO

In game quality items has been going down huh. Can you provide some definitive proof of this? I'm talking bulletproof irrefutable proof. Not "oh I don't like the look of what we get in game therfore it's lower quality".

News flash it IS ok as they own all of this. At NO point did they promise us a damn thing. You aren't entitled to get jack shite for free and yall need to understand this. Being upset that a store is getting higher quality stuff is beyond stupid ESPECIALLY when we aren't seeing a factual drop in game. Sets like the Tome stuff,Raid and Crafted has increased in quality since the dawn of the game. Same for mounts

Ngl, this is a big L on SE for putting the Shadowkeeper mount as a cash shop item rather than be the reward for new Blue Mage but this isnt something new.

Ill be more angry if the Blue Mage update doesnt have any mount reward at all.

Don't like it, don't buy it. It really do be that simple. Square Enix are a business, not our friend so speak with your wallet and nothing else. Can extend that logic to maintaining an active subscription and buying 7.0 if you feel the quality of the game is going down.

I think a lot of this stems from the Savage mount issues imo. Seeing that this a cash shop item, it does kinda raise an eyebrow as to why the Axo wasn't just a cash shop mount with something else taking the place of the Savage mount and this going along with a BLU mount drop/achievement (which would make sense considering it's Eden time for BLU). I also saw a few YT videos saying that this would most likely be a BLU mount so that's probably not helping much either.

From a whale perspective, the cost for this mount wouldn't make me bat an eye and I don't agree that in game quality items are necessarily dropping either (though I'm still waiting for the day that what we get in game blows me over to the same degree as the Neo-Ish sets did). I just think it was an interesting/eyebrow-raising choice to make this the cash mount, that's all.
