The extreme saltiness of some forum posters, obvious from their repeated hyperbole and attacks on the devs, really makes you wonder why they are playing the game at all.

You literally jumped into a thread with people who you knew were going to be upset over a rng/luck based system and bragged about your own good luck right to their faces before telling them off because they're asking for an alternative. Empathetic - showing an ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

While I understand that your houses make you happy and am happy for you, you need to learn to read the room and not rub your own success in the faces of those who haven't been as lucky as you. Be humble.

That doesn't make them a forum troll. It makes them unaware of their social position when talking about a topic that as you stated comes of as braggart. You could say it makes them (insert bad word here). but that doesn't make them a forum troll.

I for one enjoy redesigning my apartment. I do it often. I would love to have a viable option to owning a house so that I can do more of what I want without having to be aware of what I can and can't do because of limitations of the system, or just a flat out lack of continued development for apartments, but I don't. And because of the lottery much like you OP I am also done with the housing lottery system.

I "jumped into this thread" to refute an outright lie that was posted to it: that "this stupid bloated ward system ... serves no purpose." To do so, I posted nothing but truth.
You appear to have a problem with that.

It wasn't just luck. There's a reason I have leveled 12 alts to 2nd Lt. and L50 or better.

I own Keen Uneek sandles, and as with owning a FFXIV house I get joy from doing so, but I don't think saying so is bragging. In fact, relating the joy I get from these silly shoes might lead to other people enjoying them too, so why not share the joy?

Anyone who is "bragging" about an FFXIV house must have very few real accomplishments, I think.

It makes them a troll when they have nothing to constructive to add to the discussion and they essentially posted what they posted to rile people up.

If you wanted to refute what that person said all you had to say was "I get enjoyment from my house which I got through this system, and so do many other people."

Also, just because you posted something doesn't make it true(doesn't make what they said true either, but we're not discussing that). You posted your opinion, drop this random gibberish about truths and lies. The reason people are calling you a troll is because you didn't even post a well constructed thought, you simply came here to rile people up.
