[Salt thread] Owning a House Offically became Dead content for me

Since the inception of the Housing Lottery, i lost every time and now on my Home world Shiva there is no Housing Plot Left as of Yesterdays Drawing(as far as i looked).

Since they dont do Demolitions anymore there wont be freed up plots from inactive players occupying plots making it mpossible to be able to own a House.
FC Rooms or Apartment is not a Sufficient alternative, i had the faint hope island sanctuary maybe we can have a house to ones liking but its static Buildings.

Please add more wards.

Demolitions don't work as intented. There's a plot right next to mine that's literally empty. The person who won simply wanted to do it to brag about it, so they put a bench, an aetheryte and called it a day. It's been like that for months now. Even with the timer on, these people just make sure to go into their house once every 30 days or so to keep it.

So to be clear, more wards? Yes. Demolition timer? No. Even Yoshi P says to take a break from the game between patches, we should be able to take a break every now and then without having our house taken away.

either add more wards for personal house or have an option to upgrade you home from small to mid then mid to large. i don't know how hard that would be to do though

This won't work. Since the house size is determined by the size plot. Plot sizes are fixed to the map size. To expand these plots to accommodate for a large home, would mean the map would have to change drastically. They would have to expand the whole map size and redo the maps for each ward. That's a lot of work I don't think they are willing to do without looking at more sensible solutions first.

If it were instanced housing, this wouldn't be the case.

This is something that has always irked me. I don't have a house but those I know who do sometimes need to take breaks for x or y reason but that would mean losing their plot. Yoshi P even encourages taking a break but oop, you'd lose your home if you stop paying your sub/logging in. I know I'm gonna get hate for this but housing really shouldn't have been implemented in the first place if it meant not everyone would have access to it.

I think it's the old school idea of having a neighbourhood, but the reality is 95%+ of players don't interact with any of their neighbours at all, if they even see them. I always read about the odd person with a few catgirls down the street, but the vast majority that talk about wanting a neighbourhood feeling, admit they almost never actually see their neighbours.
