Storm of salt
Salt in the blood
Of our butthurt brothers
We do not care
Nor do we give a damn
If you don’t like this expac
So raise your salty hands
Upon your bloody keyboard
And complain all you want
Salt!
Salt!
Salt!
Enjoying Stormblood but doesn't (I stress so far) seem to have the same depth and immersion as HW.
Unfortunately I put in third place.
HW as number 1, for me it was excellent and the one to live up to.
I was fortunate to play ARR at launch so everyone was new and we all enjoyed the msq story (with cutscenes) together, consequently it's in second place.
Then SB. I feel there's been a few missteps with class skills. The story didn't seem to have quite the same quality of depth as HW, but still pretty good. Hopefully it will improve as more patches are introduced.
I quite enjoy the xpac, but then again I played the majority of it with friends, not random people. But they've all quit now, so maybe I'll see some of this.
Stormblood expansion was not a mistake. I really enjoyed my adventures with my best friend Lyse. I only regret that they made her into some sort of leader so I cannot continue our buddy adventures in the patches too.
I do not like the Genji and Lost Allagan outfits as much as I have others but the 70 class costumes were pretty nice. The housing thing was probably pretty bad but those are rich people's problems so I don't know much about it.
Uh? No.
I played for a long time at launch, only sticked around that long because of friends, but I always felt combat was super boring and annoying, story almost a joke, content very limited, 90% of outfits looked ugly and all pretty much the same and there weren't even glamours. Hell, the game was awful, only decent thing was graphics. And I feel the playerbase improved a lot too.
I came back after SB and I found a completely new game, a much much better one. Combat is way more fun, with classes being less flat, encounters more interesting, and the story! I think HW was the best story ever, but SB is still nice, and I love eastern themed areas/everything so...and underwater swimming! Beast tribes quests are much better too, and fates have the double xp and maiden thing. And lotta other things too tbh.
I guess you're being salty about the class balance, and honestly since I wasn't around for HW I don't know what changed between just the two, but honestly I'm pretty happy at current balance. No, I don't play warrior.
Yes, but IIRC the later ones do less damage than the first one if they're not procced, so if you do that and don't get a proc there either, it's even worse than spamming the first one. Could be wrong on that, I'm still slogging through it.
Yeah the heat thing makes no sense when you get it. "Hey, here's heat! It just goes up and you can't do anything about it, so please ignore it for 10 levels." You see that occasionally on some jobs during levelling, but this is the most egregious example I've found. I find it just painful to play sometimes compared to BRD at the same level.Quote:
I do understand that the changes made to MCH don't do it justice at lower levels, as now that Gauss Barrel at 52 generates heat, but there's nothing to manage heat til 62, that seems like their eyes were only forward in creating the Stormblood MCH. Something I certainly hope is addressed either before the end of Stormblood, or certainly in the next expansion.
Maybe its because I havent gotten MCH to max level, but managing heat right now at 61 is just a nightmare and its not fun. Can't get it to match up with my WFs at all and just doesn't feel good to play, which is keeping me from wanting to level it. It probably flows a lot better at 70, but it's just tough to get myself to get there. Sam and Rdm by comparison were fun to play all the way from 50 on up.
