Inventory issues still exist. Why keep adding gear to the game and not room? Glam log

Ok, lets put it this way then. To use your examples of Wyrm Obsidian and branches. They are used in a few synths, and generally in small quantities of 1-2. Why do they need to be removed, when it only takes a couple of hits on a node to gather the required mats, when you don't need to store them for frequent use. Removing these would mean that they would be replaced with something you use more often, which means you would need to store more, and would increase inventory bloat, not reduce it.

1. More items = more data= more stress on the servers, Devs complain about this
2. More different items to use in synth means more space to take up, more data, that doesnt need be using up if they get rid of little use items like that
3. People do not want to buy those items in stacks of 99 (well atm 4.1 changed that for Wyrm Obsidian because they put it in houses) so NOW people will buy that in stacks of 99 and actually need it, but that can go to another item to that node should it be dropped. Branches suffer from that as well, people do not want those in 99, you are hard pressed to use 99 branches in one go, so if people level off that because random pick or whatever, it can also effect the econ of that item because people will keep going lower and lower. Before 4.1 all obsidians suffered from this.

Basically they need to remove items because they always complaining there it too much data going to the servers and such, so if that is the case, remove these repeated items. If they can't give us the space for their bloat, trim the bloat, as pointed out:

You can't have immersion to this detail when you have the devs complaining servers are over stressed.

You are misunderstanding WHY the dev's are saying what they are about items. Its not that the game has too many items, its that they cannot increase inventory space due to the way the system writes your inventory to a save state frequently. These are 2 different things. Reducing the number of items would not help this.

Yes it does because its less items we need to hold to craft. Also I know that is the real issue and I know they need to fix that coding because of the lag that makes, but if they want to stick with it for whatever reason, we NEED LESS ITEMS to deal with.

Except do you really need to hold on to items you only need small quantites of very infrequently? Wehns the last time you used a yew branch or a shard of obsidian?

Well most my job almost at Lv70 and I have no issue with gear only keep what I'm actually GOING to use. Idk about crafting yet.

A account wide bank like in Guild Wars 2 would be neat. Though never get this probably lol

Why don't they put 90% of this casual mats on vendor. Like they did when they added housing vendors. I am not positive but I think you can craft most of 1-20 from the vendors. If they want us to earn these vendors through a craft/msq/some trial. Their has to be some reasonable ground. I generally don't keep quick gather mats. But this game also has a lot of shitty timers.

A lot of gear could be locked behind some vendor in another way. We all agree they aren't as skilled as other dev teams to probably do a glamour properly. Hell people run primals and gets 100s of tokens. While shitty an achievement completed "Crystal Tower 100 times" unlocks a vendor. Probably at the start of when ilvl is basically hunt gear. It isn't a great fix but it works inside the game.

Anyone has seen these forums knows your stance on SE. But they could sure do a lot of other stuff. They could make some compromises inside the game as is. The only people who have to make compromise right now are players spend time doing it a second time, pay someone, pay retainer to get it(also timed), pay retainer to hold it. As we all know one side is pro SE and the other isn't. I have seen very little give on their side as they lined pockets for years.

If we were wishing that fish had wings. An instanced house with built in account storage. That data wouldn't have to be loaded till you entered. You could share items among alts. Everyone gets some sort of personal space.

Lodestone doesn't tell you how much I have raided. How many of the trials I beat in the past. How much I PvP. How much I play. What I have in my inventory. What I gather. What I craft. I did not attack you, just stating the truth. You attacked me in your first post, and I was simply explaining why you felt the need to do so. I see nothing wrong in doing that. There is nothing wrong with not knowing the full game yet and not knowing how much items you need to hold when it comes to endgame crafting and gathering. When you are crafting the top stuff when it is new, you do not simply toss out overflows. You should take your own advice and not assume people with inventory problems are holding on items that are sold by vendors.

Or are you going to sit here and tell me you tossed out ores 30-60k each while all your retainers are sitting on 1M+ items in all slots? I am shocked you are still trying to defend your self and making me look like the bad person when I did nothing wrong, ok makes sense.

today, few hours ago... oh yew..? I do not keep any of that, i do not craft yew based stuff. obsidian? hope you do not mean BASE obsidian, because I do not hold vendor items. I do not go to vendor for that though, usally iron ore, rubber, and whatever that water item is, too many water items, hate that icon, why does deepyeye tears share it?
