I like the new AOE indicators, please, do not change them back. It looks much cleaner and more ascetically pleasing now. If you feel you need to compromise then make it an option in the settings for people to chose from.

The problem is that people with sight problems can't SEE them. My friend in my static who plays with near-blindness and plays with style is having trouble raiding with us because of it. He wrote a thread here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...o-keep-playing
The only point in which AoE projection is an issue is Thordan EX Fight during the meteor phase, other then that, it doesn't matter. Even if its a bit harder to see, it's still noticeable. Also I guess some of the Skynamis mobs can be troublesome but some of those are so big it's hard to really dodge em anyway.
What I think they should do is allow for players to increase the brightness of the projections and perhaps even augment the colors for color blind people to pick them out faster. I can see that being an issue because if you're not looking for them they are pretty easy to miss at times, especially if the projection is very wide and covers a massive range you won't even notice it at times. Maybe give it a sort of "Air raising" particle effect, but this isn't really necessary.
While I thought I'd get used to this, it feels like the attempt to improve the aoe markers made it tougher for me to see them in most cases (especially tanking dungeons like Arboretum and Pharos HM).
I'd welcome an option to choose the markers we feel comfortable with from the past.
Yes please, this!
I never had a problem with overlapping telegraphs before, and now I find it difficult to even dodge them in solo content because they are less solid and less visible overall. I like the clean lines in that it makes it easier to tell when I am grazing a telegraph versus standing on the line and thus still liable to get hit. But I also just spent a couple of weeks as a lalafell so part of that was getting used to the elezen hitbox again.
That said PLEASE CHANGE THE INDICATORS BACK. Running Ultros + Typhon and dodging instances of many mobs piled up together has only been made more difficult. I cannot tell you how many times avoidable damage killed me in Diadem yesterday...
I think this should be a thing, make it a macro command I personally like the new Aoe indicators, they help me out way more. But i could undestand not everyone likes them. I think a system/character/macro option to change which one we see would benifit all players.
I actually didn't even realize they changed, so yeah, I don't have an issue with them being lighter. I can see why others may hate it though...
Sometimes when the AoE indicator is GIANT and covers most of the field I only see the separating lines but have trouble figuring out if I'm standing within the aoe or on safe ground. It's also harder to see on orange-ish ground.
I also have a lot of trouble on trees who have a 270° aoe and there's lots of people or big enemies around, like on the rank V trees on Diadem.
