I do not actively wish anyone to fail, or to put it more accurately, I do not sabotage others to failure so others can succeed, same as I do not spawn camp an area so that others can't get their atmas or drops or whatever, that is just the reality of it. But that does not deter from the fact for there to be good, there has to be bad, or there can be no good without evil. For an entity to have meaning, there has to be a corresponding opposite entity to give said entity meaning. As to that quote, its naive at best. Maybe you have not experienced the harshness of life, but that kind of thinking is kamikaze for the dystopia we live in. There are no benefits to be too good, I have experienced it first hand.

I wasn't going to reply again, but this... this is a mount petition not a philosophy of life petition.Who gives a flying whoop about being to nice irl blah blah blah, this is about an item in a game. I'm pretty sure most people realize irl isn't roses and sunshine; just like this game has people being a-holes (like myself at times). To put it even simpler no one cares about your life values/story/points/advice on these forums unless somehow they have connection to you.
The format to respond to this would be:

It should be complete RNG for x,x,x (game reasons) or
It should not be complete RNG for x,x,x reasons and here are alternatives.

Actually, it's a bit more complex. I ran Levi EX for well over a hundred wins with farm parties set up in the Party Finder. Everyone called their loot (mine being the mount), and it was clearly stated it would be a professional farm party. A few hours go by, we have plenty of wins - and the party members swap in and out depending on if people get what they want or have to go or whatnot. About 30 minutes before I planned on leaving, the mount finally dropped. I ask for every to leave as I was the only one who claimed it as my loot just to be fair, and the Dragoon who was dead for the majority of the fight remained. I let four minutes elapse, and out of fear for it hitting the floor I rolled on it. Turned out he remained AFK for whatever reason but happened to roll on the mount, won it, proceeded to revive and then exit the instance. He left the party. Not to mention he also won the achievement that run, too.

Everything in this game is obtainable through a grind or effort. Atmas will eventually drop for you, it's not chance. It will happen. The Warlion or Warbear mount will be given to you when you fulfill the requirements. But then you have things that conflict with those who have OCD in collecting - forcing them to spend hours upon hours of grinding only for a single player to have control on whether or not to ruin that. And that's with communication and parties set-up. It's only LOGICAL to add the primal mounts to the achievement list, as every other mount is there as well if not found through a quest. The new Warsteeds, the Warbear/lion, and the Golden Magiteck. Adding them to the achievement list will not create a loss in EX primal runs, but rather it may even increase them as it adds even more of an incentive to run and clear them. The primal mounts should be something that shows how dedicated a player can be through withstanding numerous victories in the primal battles, not for when that random player looks back and says, "Oh, I got this for that one time I paid for a Titan EX win".

If everything else in this game were like that, it'd be more acceptable. But when everything else has an endpoint or eventual acquisition, it's pretty wonky that something like this is locked behind not only RNG itself, but other players' willingness over extremely extended periods of time. People for this 'petition' aren't asking for hand-outs, we're not looking for easy acquisition alternatives. We're just looking for something to show for our dedication in running (possibly) over 500 times a single primal (extreme, mind you) rather than run it over 500 times just to be teased when someone ninja lots you. Anyone who thinks that is a hand-out just wants to argue for the sake of arguing. And for anyone who wants to gloat with their primal mounts or remain 'special'...who said you still wouldn't be? Not everyone will have the time and patience to run 100, 200, or even 500 runs of a single Primal spread over the five primals. Throw in a minion or title down the road and it'll fall in line with everything else - not that anyone seems to have a problem with those, so why have a problem with this?

You know... that's actually something that's usually reportable in MMORPGs. If terms were agreed upon initially, but someone intentionally ninjas something (even if set up by RNG), the GMs can usually step in on it.

If it is clearly stated ahead of time and agreed upon, then yes, it is reportable.

I agree with this mostly, I don't mind it taking awhile and effort to get, but RNG kinda kills it. Like even if the drop rate was a tiny bit higher so people actually had more tries to win it.

If you think about it, they keep adding all these ponies that most of the player base won't own until 2 years later when you can solo the primals? I find it irritating that I have done more EX primals altogether than I can count and have not a single one of those mounts, not even Nightmare which was out a long time ago. I only saw one drop and I farmed the crap out of those primals, and guess who won it? A guy who was dead half the fight -_- (Titan EX xD).

It's just a drive killer when you think about the odds...I like to collect pets and mounts but ugh...

8 player content, so 1/8 chance to win lot, which is 12.5% chance of winning, but the drop rate is only like 1% so you get a 12.5% chance average every 100 runs....so it ends up being like idk 0.1% chance of getting one? I suck at math but the 12.5% chance every 100 runs is about right. It is okay to make some mounts hard to get but this is getting lame, there is 5 ponies already and now 6 on Tuesday, they don't ALL need to be that rare.

Even though a patch is finally coming I really had nothing to do except SCOB every week...cause I just have no drive to farm primals when I could kill them non stop all day for as long as I am able to stay awake and likely not even get a chance to roll on the mount :/

And there you have it. Your reason for moaning and crying about people offering alternative methods to obtain the mounts is "cause I said so!" Right, that isn't spite at all is it? No one on the side of a grind method to get the mounts is throwing childish insults, that's all coming from your end. At the end of the day the simple fact is, no one can give a proper reason why there shouldn't be alternative methods. It all just boils down to "because more people will have it then." Erm, ok? And how does that affect you? Oh, you can't AFK in Mor Dhona 12 hours a day feeling special because you had enough skill to roll a 99.

As for you saying go get the other mounts instead, who says I'm not? I'm steadily working on the PLD one, and have all the beastmen quest related ones. What's wrong with people wanting a complete set? Attitudes like yours just because people would like a complete set of something which, shock horror, is not related to "OMG look at ma ilvl!" is pretty pathetic to be honest.

Second, just because a person is vocal about things they do not like doesn't make them a whiner, it has little to no reflection on their life. A whiner is someone who complains without offering a method of correction or change. If no one said anything in 1.0 this game would still be crap. Drop rates for everything including primal weapons would suck. 90% of the people on here wouldn't even be playing right now. You don't like this petition, cool say so and just move on. If anything by what you said "we are not all winners, we are not the special little people..." getting a mount through sheer luck and feeling special would go against your ideals. Yet you attack the person who suggests to make them work for the crap, 500 titan ex clears you get your shiny little pony. This way if someone wants it that badly they are in for a grind.

Either way before you assume anything about anyone's life on these forums. Make sure yours is completely straight no need to take it out on people you assume are rich brats.

Completely agree with you. The people against this just keep resorting to childish insults as they are lacking in actual reasons for this not to be implemented.
