Ok, now I can't even log in. I go to login and try to put my code in again, and it takes me to an Almost done page and asks for a nick, but I already have one.

As a fan of the franchise and a long-time/endgame FFXI player, I'm always amazed at how incredible SE's games are, and how terribly engineered their account management systems are. There's zero reason to region-lock accounts on a globally available MMO, there's zero excuse for having na.finalfantasyxiv.com reroute to eu. links seemingly at will (and default to British English instead of American English for the North American site? Seriously?), there's zero reason for having multiple account management interfaces that don't share information completely with each other, and there's zero reason to force hundreds of thousands to millions of people to try to register their preorders in only four days. Provisions for using preorder/early-access codes should have been in place, tested, and operational back when the preorders first started, not four days before early access and a week before launch - the fiasco with the overloaded registration website is sheer short-sightedness on SE's part.
What's worse, SE as a company has brilliant people in its employ, and so there's even less excuse for having so poor an experience for its customers on the account management side. If you've got the dev team to retool a MMO and build a billing system for it, you've got the talent to make a single consistent simple user interface for customers, yet SE has consistently (for both FFXI and FFXIV) failed in this regard.
SE's products are top-notch, but the experience outside the products is almost hostile to the customer. Hopefully FFXIV will be what SE needs to get its act together in the one place it's still having issues.
I am concerned about this as well. I bought two CE copies, one form gamersgate (full price) and another copy for my wife from greenmangaming (was 25% off). I made sure both were CE (NA), had the error 3 trouble for awhile then read about switching from English(UK) to English(US) in your profile and that seemed to have done the trick.
I went to the NA pre order site entered the 18 digit code, received the 20 digit code, entered this new 20 digit code and then went to another page where it showed I got the cait sith doll and mog cap but I do not recall any mention of the CE goodies.
Did the same thing for my wifes pre order on her account with the same results. When we go to the main site log in and go to my profile it just show I have FFXIV ARR registered for both of us. I am worried both gamersgate and greenmangaming sent us non CE codes?
Can any else say if those that bought CE have some way to see they actually have a CE copy registered?
So I've finally received the Early Access code after adding in the pre-order code, but the issue I have is a slightly weird one.
I'm a legacy 1.0 CE player, but I have actually never received or used my CE in-game items on the 1.0 character that I had and wasn't even sure whether I've activated the code yet.
But as I've entered the Early Access code into the activation site now it displayed the following:
Does this mean that it does actually recognize my account as being a CE one or would I need to double check the code again somewhere(No idea where to enter it now for ARR, probably only after the 27th)?Quote:

I didn't receive an in-game mail with the CE items in the Beta phases either, I've actually completely forgot about the CE items and only foolishly realized this now.
Any suggestions?
Yes he did.

That's how his basically looked like. All I had was the FFXIV: A Realm Reborn - Windows(R) and the pre-order bonuses on bottom.Quote:

Edit: So I think zetayuri is probably right. I see other people saying that we should be getting another CE code closer to launch day.
i have the wrong region code... and i cant change my region even though i moved country.....so i cant register i have a NA ccode becasue i live in NA but my account was made when i lived in THE uk
I opened a ticket and EU support pretty much said "Not our problem" open a ticket to NA support. Haven't heard from US support yet :( If anyone has an NA code that I can trade my EU code with e-mail me chrisofskye@gmail.com
Heya guys and girls~ Miiiight not necessarily be applicable here, but I noticed as soon as Early Access opened up, the copy of FFXIV I had registered to my account disappeared. I've gone back and tried re-entering it (it's a 6-3-6-3 code, by the way) and upon pressing the "Check Code" button, the site picks it up as being FFXIV, but it then proceeds to tell me it's an invalid code. I'm just left a bit perplexed as to why this may have occurred. Additionally, I didn't redeem my Garlond Goggles code during the initial run... Would I still be able to do so once ARR opens? Thanks in advance~
I registered the earlier access code I got from the 18 digit pre-order code to my account. However, when I try to login to the launcher it gives me "no valid or active account" screen. I went to try to put it on my account again and it says it was used. (Which makes sense...) Anyone else having similar issues? I did get an email and do see it registered on square enix members site. Do you think I am good to go?
For those who traded Early Access codes based on regional problems, you might be doing that again when release on the 27th arrives. I've read around the forums that the retail code that we will receive on the 27th will/might be region locked too. There will be mass trading again of retail codes IF the 20-digit early access code is not tied to the account.
These are things we don't know:
1.) Are the Early Access (20-digit) codes LINKED/related in any way to the retail code on release date/launch?
2.) Will they come up with a REAL SOLUTION to those having region problems (perhaps, making it region free for a time?)
3.) Is the retail code on the 27th REALLY region locked?
Sorry, just giving you guys a heads up. I'm already thinking of opening a thread and securing some people who would be willing to trade their region-mismatched retail codes on the 27th.
What's worse is that people who might have traded NA codes that might have been acquired via the Amazon pre-order cancelling trick for EU codes unwillingly acquired from GMG will get into trouble.
I pre-ordered my game from the Square Enix Online Store, back during Beta Phase 3, and till now, I see no sign of my code anywhere.
Can someone help me ffs can't get anyone to help me out read page 25
So, apparently, my code has already been used. And I was not aware of it till now.

Hit next
You'll see a link, ignore it, and hit next again.
Scroll to the bottom and click the Chat button.
Try https://support.na.square-enix.com/c...hp?id=902&la=1
you need to go under ffxiv not ARR, that one doesnt seem to have a live chat option
And be prepared for live chat delays of 1-3 hours. And be prepared to wait out a lengthy delay only to see "sorry, there are no agents available - try again later" and have to do it all over again. (Ask me how I know.)
And chat doesn't open till 9am pst
I cant seem to find it anywhere on my screen, do they not have EU live help?
Hello, I am a little confused with PS3 EA... I know it'S been asked in this very forum but it never hurts to ask again.
I have redeemed my code and the client is currently patching and everything works ( I have seen the bonus item list) so EA is working but when I had to choose the service I wanted EA on (that account had 2 FFXIV services) I saw that the one I wanted, Final Fantasy XIV Service account 2, showed me an option (that I cannot change) which is a character name.
Does this mean the items will only be available on this character? It's a character I made after suffering from error 3102 so it's not my "main" and not on the right server...Quote:

Am I screwed? :(
To anyone getting invalid/incorrect code for PSN, the issue is probably wrong region on your code.
I cant believe that with less than 24hr before EA and not a single dev or admin have the guts to at least post in this forum about the region issue we have at hand. all I keep reading is bs news that we don't care about, im still stuck with a code that's not valid on my ps3 and the support ticket I send they replied back with a IT's Fixed!!!! REALLY? ITS NOT FIXED THE SITE STILL GIVES ME THE SAME EU CODE NO MATTER WHAT I DO.
I pre ordered the game through amazon, got a confirmation email but haven't received a code, the access starts tomorrow so im guessing i should probably do something about this now..
Is there a way to check and make sure that the second code, 20 digit, was added to the account correctly?
Region issues in 2013. Way to go SquareEnix.
I'll probably miss EA because of this stupid thing. Can't register my 12 digit code to my PS3.
Llan Hana.
Llan Hana, did you get the game from SE NA (digital)?
