Allisae , possibly the rest of the scions.
Like oh boy a whole new expansion to enjo.. oh these guys. Again.
I just think of who I would want to spend time with or confide in. The cast as it stands is pretty much a bucketlist of every kind of person I would be least likely to want around me. Allisae and Alphi are sort tied. Estinien is probably my favorite of them.
Y'shtola barely manages to be tolerable, and frankly just want to see them all absent for an extremely long while.
I probably mentioned it before but at the end of Endwalker Alphinaud was writing that letter about how tjey were gonna put the scions down. I was glad.
THE VERY NEXT PATCH WE ARE REASSEMBLING THEM.
I was sick of them then. It only got worse since.
-
You could literally slot in anyone else or even not and just have the player go to Ishgard of their own will. Literally nothing changes and my answer is the same, hotfart = bad but we have new contenders like wuk lemutt and such who almost took the crown
-
-
Wuk Lamat or Red Alphinaud, I can't decide.
-
I hate all of them equally, but I hate the Tuli-Crew even more.
Dawntrail was out chance to dump the Scions and start fresh with new adventuring allies. Ice cold bucket for that.
-
wuk lamat. no not because of her voice.
-
Krile, voice grates on me
-
It use to be aphinaude, but Wuk lamat beat him in the game's most annoying character contest. It baffles me that some people actually like her.
-
It's probably this one now
-
What is it about Wuk Lamat people hate? I'm kind of indifferent towards her cuz there's nothing really great about her, but nothing overly hateful either.

This has been talked about to death on this forum.

Terrible writing. Much of her dialogue insults the players intellect as a person. Shoehorned into as many cutscenes as possible. Many of which she actually has no reason to even be there. Bad voice acting, that DID get better in the Post Launch patches for additional story, but the voice actor squealing on twitter that everybodys (inject buzzword derogatory here) for criticizing them made them look -- and by transitive association, Wuk Lamat -- even worse. And she has more dialogue than every NPC that speaks in DT combined.
She has 30% more dialogue in Dawntrail, than Alphinaud has in the ENTIRE GAME.
And you can also add on being a Mary Sue. Wuk Lamat solo'd a guy who could solo Primals. Which shouldn't canonically make any sense at all because she doesn't have the Echo, she doesn't have a partially unsundered soul. Nothing. Just a normal warrior who isn't very experienced.
-
Two people immediately came to mind: Wuk Lamat and Valens.
But here's the thing, I'm supposed to hate Valens.

WOL..Most Over hyped, over portrayed, over powered, butt kissed character in the game. Time for the WOL too be brutally and unforgivingly killed and sent too the after life. Where they are weak and hated, forced too earn their strength back gain respect and return to the world of the living.

For me personally, it boils down to two major reasons (albeit grossly written):- She's poorly written & clumsily utilized to push MSQ progression. This leads to the 2nd point;
- Her presence smothers the rest of the cast in order to highlight and heightens her importance without backing them up with a coherent and/or believable character development. When you put more screentime & importance on one character (in this case, WL), you will inevitably reduces other character's. This is what WL's usage in MSQ has done to the rest of the cast, for a wholla lot of nothings.
I could go on, but this is also had been discussed ad nauseam in other existing thread in the past with many sentiments I personally echo'd (except the VA part since I play on JP VA :P People can sort that part out themselves).
If you want a tl;dr, WL is basically a 10km wide & 1cm deep-character. I feel like I'm reading a cheap dating sim visual novel with only one love interest that I'm shoehorned to like.
-
I could barely get through DT because of how much Puke Lamat was shoved into my face.
-
I used think my least favorite characters were Curious Gorge and Digiorno... until I did the Endwalker crafter relic quests with Mowen and Grenoldt. The only way those quests would have been good is if a Sin Eater showed up and devoured both of them.

Dwarves like Giott really are just lalafell in stupid helmets though no matter how you look at it - same race but a totally different culture/society.
But then I guess SE did the same thing with the elezen being called 'elves' in the First too, but they at least had virtually zero difference culturally between the Source and the First (and weren't wearing silly masks!).

Both sets are such a bizzare choice of hate I have to ask why
-
I’m a devout Y’shtola hater. There aren’t many characters I genuinely hate in video games but Shtola is one of them.
The only good thing that happened was her being rolled up in the blanket like a blunt, that was the one time she made me laugh
-
Not including character that aren't alive anymore: Y'shtola
Will never understand why people find her a good character or even simp when all she does is being a plot device that was needed at the correct time, for multiple times across the expansions. The void arc is the worst offender imo.
Faking death and coming back for the n-th time doesn't help either.

Some of it appears to stem from the "Little Sun" scene. Which I, personally, didn't really find amusing - but it seems to be a very popular moment in the MSQ for most players.

Generally the scions are more walking anime tropes than actual human characters.

I hated Curious Gorge from the very first WAR quest and the Mowen/Grenoldt romance was so cringe-inducing I could barely get through the relic.

She was saying she's not interested in Au Ra because they're "too small". The jokes humor is ironically inspired. Hang around balmung as a Miqo'te for 10 minutes and you'll get several dozen DM's saying "Hi how are you? :)" and it's from a male xaela player whose either a Warrior or a Dark Knight. They were making fun of people through Magnai being a creep.

Zenos, and it's not even close.

Yea I mean I get it. I chuckled a little on that part due to how Magnai is portrayed to be this holier than thou character who just hits on his 'Nhaamas' without much thinking.
But that's like the only part she's involved in that I find it likeable. The others are either so unimportant I forgot she existed, until plot needs her yet again

Another potential implied joke is that, since Au Ra are clearly a sexually dimorphic species, the male's "you know what" should be comparatively small to their size to fit the female Au Ra's tiny stature.

I..... yes. That was the implication I was suggesting in quotations.
