It shows me they've realized their mistake and corrected themselves and I'm totally cool with that.

Now I seriously want the dev team to put a party hat on the behemoth as "All new" concept art. Just to troll the people who are getting all upset at the behemoth pic.

We still have no idea what the other ones are, We can assume they are something we haven't seen before because I'm sure every hater scoured the CE art book to double check all the images and came up with nill. Maybe this is a new Chimera with the tail of a behemoth!?!?!

Or...people can take the stick out of there behinds because one of 4 images was a rehash (And we still get a wallpaper of it that we didn't get in our CE books.)

Well, I'm excited for the event and excited for 2.0, but it all comes down and boils down to this: Everyone was expecting a new concept art. And in fact it's not that new, if it's in the CE. You may argue it's new for people who haven't seen it, etc, etc, but deep down you know that's a false argument. In any case, I hope the other concept arts will be new.

Unmoldy Cup is actually nice looking though; at beginning I was planning to buy 1 JP CE for me and 1 US CE for my wife for the journal so I can get both but then I found out JP version comes with JP product key and can only be used with JP Square-Enix account therefore I ended up buying 2x US CE version. And thanks to that stupid region specific product codes/keys my 3x FFXIII in-game item codes (bought the game for myself, my bro, my mom) went to dump.

Yes, but I have a better analogy.

It's like you're a freshmen in college, being assigned a term paper in English class, and you're supposed to write on a new topic, doing new research and all that. But you're lazy and you decide to just reuse your High School Senior term report. And bam! Your college professor has never seen it before, so it's "new" to him. For all you care, he won't know. But it's cutting corners, and if someone figures it out, you'll get in trouble.

I did also find it annoying that they took time to create hype over something that we have already seen... I of course am looking forward to 2.0 like everyone else but really...no one is going to /fangirlscream over something we saw in Sept 2010 which only serves to remind me of how LONG it's been and yet still so many much more important issues are still not fixed.

Also when I saw the word Artifact, I like many others were expecting something far more different then a mob shot ^^;

Releasing concepts on housing, battle or any of the many other topics that are widely being looked forward to however would have been better received I think.

Also I think the orange pic is going to be a fish mob like the Fastitocalon-F from FFVIII http://www.ffforever.info/pics/game/...itocalon-F.jpg

1) This event is supposed to be a fun game.

2) Not everything is a conspiracy.

3) Yoshida-san wasn't on the grassy knoll on Nov 22nd 1963.

Seriously though you're taking a partially revealed image and using it to defame an entire event that has only just begun. It's just as possible that this one image reflects an oversight on the part of a development team that picked up the project after the CE materials were well past the approval phase. Even then others who didn't buy the CE and want to see this can have fun participating in the event, or wait no you just spoiled it for them....
