I watched the interview and I don't think so. No names were revealed at all, not even servers. There is no new information for SE to work from and I seriously doubt the interview revealed anything they didn't already know about the modding community. At best they could corner a player who sent Asmon screenshots but sending screenshots isn't proof of anything. Anyone could have taken them.

As for my opinion on mods I'm fine with anything that isn't NSFW as long as it doesn't interfere with how anyone else experiences the game. Not all fun with mods is harmless but quite a lot of it is.

Have you played through the MSQ, especially the Ul'dah related storyline?

Have you spoken to any of the NPCs or done any of the quests that make it very clear SE thinks lalafells are as adult as anyone else? For example where taller race NPCs proclaim their attraction for a lalafell NPC. Where a lalafell male talks about his conquests with taller race females. Where the females complain about the lascivious nature of certain lalafell males.

The Costa del Sol is owned by a lalafell who has a harem of taller females.

SE clearly has no problem portraying lalafells as adults.

Many MMOs have a short race and FFXIV is no different.

It's rude and disrespectful to call people paedophiles for playing as lalafells.

Its true though... also its not our fault lala are the cutest on some emotes, like, I love my aura but its so stiff... as are most others... Lala are cute, its fun playing em and at the same time i feel angry lala looks more intimidating then an male aura xD


What attracts me the most isnt even their young appearance or just how smoll they are but how theyre the only race thats even remotely chubby. I hate how all other female races are so skinny... have so skinny legs... if we could only get bunny- or catgirls with just as chubby hips and legs... *sigh*

i love lalas. they are so cute. i have a lala alt and its funny running around with it since lalas have to walk way faster than other races.
i dont mind naked humans. i love some designs with a lot of skin. and that not even in a sexual way (like ryne in e8s. i love her design. if only the dragons head was a bit smaller. its way too big :()
i also dont mind screenshots made with a nudemod. yeah i know a player who is using it. and she sends me sometimes screenshots. (sometimes with clothes and sometimes nude, but never in sex positions)some of them look pretty good.... and again not in a sexual way, its a kind of beauty.

that being said.... the last thing i want to see is a naked lalafell (the body shape is just weird).... and no i dont want to see something so cute having sex. (that counts also for the lalas who arent cute.) its just a no-go

Any form of nudity is often frowned upon no matter the context. It’s why breastfeeding in public is apparently a controversial topic.

But there’s something interesting I noticed.

Folk openly discourage ‘western’ ideals and morales when it comes to topics such as the lgbt community and their respective threads.

But when it comes to topics that have been discussed heavily in this thread western sensibilities take center stage and barely anyone bats an eye.

I mean it’s a Japanese Company, what they allow is bound to be a bit different regardless of our western mindsets.

It may be a Japanese company but I'm led to believe that they are very much bound by Western laws should they wish to sell their product within specific Western countries. Given that they have a financial incentive not to see their product banned, then that means that they can and very much do take action whenever specific players overstep their boundaries.

They've explicitly commented on the problem more than once and urged players not to make use of NSFW mods or post images on social media that would qualify as being illegal/paint the game in a bad light.

Ultimately, if people weren't so brazen about such antics then most people wouldn't be aware of it happening. So I think blaming people for reacting to it when it's dragged into a public space is rather disingenuous.

Need something mechanism that check if the game is modified before launching it.
Its actually very good Asmongold made a video about this. Show everyone how disturbing this is and it should be stopped. Its against the Terms of Service modifying the game like this.

A outrage about something that makes noone a victim, that is on a fake character. That noone else can see, but that person. Is some how disturbing and a issue.



I think it is the other way around, the fact that some people blur the line from reality to video game is the real issue here. As long as people dumb fetish does not make victims. And Noone is a victim here. I don't care what they do. I mean I know some who watch horror movies as a fetish. I don't care or judge these people. As long as they are not hurting anyone. And making Ryne "naked' is not hurting anyone. Even if I don't understand it or care too.

It is pretty gross. Especially again, when you realize they took inspiration for parts of her outfit from a grown over sexualized woman from a previous game, it’s just done in poor taste and gross. I was Like "How on Hydaelyn did they get that pose and mod to work?" Why was never a question as Rule 34 was in full effect.

Umm, not really. If you are in California and you are 18 and you Sext to Colorado (AOC 17) you will be guilty of a crime in California. Even if it's legal in Colorado. Also no where in the USA is the AOC under 16, and many states that have lower has a minimum age differential which means 18yo 19yo might not be guilty but a 25 yo is. I should point out quiet a few "Red States" and a few New England States and New York have really lax laws on this.

As long as no one is hurt IN REALITY (you know, where people actually can get hurt??), what's the problem? You people are making this mountain out of molehill. Cosmetic things and shaders (which is just a program that lets you use photo filters. Think Instagram style) aren't harming anyone. They are client sided and only can be seen by the player themselves. To others, you don't look any different. Maybe they see their character as something else, but the game doesn't have what they exactly need. Maybe these players role play and their character has certain features not available in game yet? As long as there's no Lalafell NSFW and crap like that (that shit should get people outright banned seriously it's horrible), I see little to no issue. These 'modders' are not bothering anyone; Stop putting innocent people into the bad group. I have seen some nice shots in some discord groups I belong to. I don't like such things because I already like how my character looks. Why bother? Rofl.

Noone in his or her right mind cares about the mod issues, and everyone cares about erping with minors, but most seem to accept that they can't stop it, and that is the parents job. Not ours to worry about it.
