Some people do the ilvl thing sure, but I've still gotten Orbonne in alliance roulette. Not everyone does that, you'll still be able to queue into it. Sure, maybe it won't be as quick as a dps queueing into it today and getting near instant queues, but it's not like Eureka. You can still get into Orbonne today and you'll be able to get into CF when it's added to the roulette.

First of all the raid really isnt hard or difficult.
Second of all I dont think they should take the possibitly that people might suffer from sort of burn out anymore into account than they're already doing, for example by giving us weekly lookouts (which serves both as a means to make sure people dont burn through content to fast aswell as preventing burn out on top of making sure content still gets queued for a week after release giving late-comers a shot at it too)
Third of all you could have spaced those runs out over a couple of days, weeks or even months - it was your choice to do this right now, at a time where people are still learning and arent overgeared, making runs take longer than they will in 2-3 weeks.
Fourth of all... they have an intrest in people running this more than once, even more than once a week to keep queues going and giving people "something to do (that offers a reward)" - seems to be working perfectly.

Seriously, stop whining about a problem you created for yourself by the way you're approaching this because you need to have things right this minute.

To add to this, If you really wanna farm the regular gear glams, it would probably be easier to just wait until there is no lockout on it. Get all of it in a couple weeks, or less. Just down to the amount of time you would want to put into it. Could probably win other sets by just greeding at that point too.

It would not be dead that fast, people would still be doing it to get coins for upgrades and it is in the raid roulette.

Bet you already have to set if you do how many runs did you do to get it. Raid will die just like eureka and Diadem did and you act like ones don't have right put in forums what they think.

Accept for those that already have there gear maxed out from Eden raids and don't need them anymore. That coin just went into my chocobo bag maybe I will use it someday or just get tossed.

It's a bit hit or miss I think. When the gear unlocks, you can get more than one per week.

But so can everyone else in the raid then. And you may get more people rolling on everything that drops just because, where as now people are more careful on what they roll for because of the restriction. So you can roll on more things, but so can everyone else.

I feel a bit sorry for Aiming dps it seemsl ike there's always at least three of them in a given raid, often 2 more or more dancers, at least in the groups I've gotten.

Nope, dont have it - did one run so far and looking really forward to do more with a relaxed pace over the next couple of weeks since I really enjoyed the fights and specially the music so I have no intention of burning myself out over one glamour-set here and runing fun and enjoyable content for myself out of a lack of patience. To be really honest: I tried it on and dont think the chestpiece looks to great on my Roegadyn. Really like the boots though, but until I get my hands on them, I'm happy with all my other glamour-options and wont ruin a part of the game I enjoy over some new pixels.

And yes, the raid will die down eventually but that doesnt mean they cant take measures to ensure that it stays alive as long as possible. Eureka died eventually, yes - but it would have died a lot faster if they didnt put a lot of incentives into it and made the relic-weapon a grind-fest instead of just a quest-reward for unlocking Eureka. You seem to be one of the people who enjoyed Eureka for the content itself - while a LOT of people only did it to get their relic-weapon, which profited you, since it provided you with people who were willing to grind the hell out of that content (way more than the ~8 hours you put into this raid so far) only for the relic-weapon while not really enjoying the content all that much.
Now you're at the other side of the table: Running this content mainly because you want a reward so other people who might actually enjoy it get the needed bodies to fill the slots.

Sure, speak your mind - but it would help your cause if you'd be able to see the reason this is the way it is and didnt start this literally the moment the raid dropped. I would be a lot more understanding after 8 weeks of no gear than 8 runs... and again: It was your choice to burn out over this on day one...

yep the raid will die then they'll just put it in mog station for 20 bucks.

People will still need to run Copied Factory to get their upgrade items for the 5.2 and 5.4 tomestone sets. And while some people drop their ilvl for alliance roulette, it's not enough people to make queueing for Orbonne or this in the future non feasible when the expansion ends. This isn't ever going to be dead in the same way as Eureka or Diadem.

They have accepted that as a bug, so fingers crossed its not supposed to look that way and that they're going to fix it (soon)!

Funny thing is I was third so two other people must have rolled 100 or 99 before me..

I wouldn't be opposed to them adding the coffers to a vendor and purchasable with the raid tokens once the series reaches it's conclusion. But as others have said, patience is key and try not to burn yourself out. We'll be running this for a good while, so eventually you should get it.

I've never seen a 100 roll..I thought 99 is max

Looks like on japan forum there complaining about ones being able to get it more than one time the 2b coffer or they want it lock where can only get 1 per week. Lost rolls with rolls of 98,96, and 95. Never seen roll of 100 yet think 99 must be max roll but what happens if more than one gets 99 roll.

there is a hidden 100 roll you don't see it you just see two 99 rolls in chatlog but the game determines which person gets it by seeing who rolled the hidden value.

oh I just got my 2b gear today so just hang in there took like 20 runs though, RNG is so bad still for this.

Im 30 runs deep and have been beat 4 times with 95+ rolls feels like ill never get it at this point

Just finished a run where one of our healers was gone 24/7 and I mean that with no exaggeration, every single boss fight? "crashed", who was there with her Bf, same last name and everything.

I rolled a 95 and I'm thinking "this is it, my suffering is over", goes to healer who was gone through the whole thing :confused:

Only piece really wanted from 2b set was the thigh boots I think they would go good with a lot my dress glamour's I have.

Heres to hoping! My EB and I hit the jackpot and won 2 of the 3 drops but our characters are quite a bit darker than the pale cutouts :P

I was lucky and got my 2b outfit with an 85 roll. I was honestly thinking I wouldn't get it, and was about to leave the raid XD

As for the regular glams, I have been gathering the tank gear, since there's only 1 tank per party :)

oh thats why people were so good in the dungeon, just did it today for the first time and got wrecked by the last boss bombing run move, no idea how to evade it but tank cooldowns keep me alive.

Again, this.

Some of you need to get a grip. Like, it's not going anywhere anytime soon so why burn yourself out on fun content that's gonna be the go-to weekly thing for many players for the foreseeable future?
Just use some simple logic. As time goes on more and more people wont have a reason to roll on it as they already have it (right now is the time when the fewest people will have it already so everyone's rolling ... and there's also the guys who roll on it who just assume it's gonna be a cool outfit and haven't realized that it's a cross play on males yet. I've seen some post of "Oh HECK NO!" from dudes who see what it looks like on males)... but they will have a reason to run the content for their tokens to upgrade their gear AND to get gear drops ... AND at some point the weekly limit on gear drops (that's put in place to keep people coming week to week AND to slow burn out as to make the content have legs) will be lifted and people can grind it for alt job gear and glam when they're over geared and can shorten the run much more. There is no reason to be in such a rush to get this.

If you run the raid cause you enjoy it and enjoy learning the patterns and such as they're new (Like I do) then cool. If you're not enjoying yourself then why not just spread the grind out over weeks? Run it for the gear drops and after that wait until reset or run it a few more times through the week? IDK how or why I'm running "I ran this 20-30 times already" like wow ... it just came out. Not good for your mental or body.

That's how it works. SE has designed it where the worst performing players have priority on loot. Gotta do something to keep the competent people running to cover for the crappers.

12 runs, finally got it with a 95. It's part of the game yo. Put a group of 8 together and do 3 runs. you will all have the coffer. simple, stop making this difficult on yourself because you want to be LAZY and then blame SE because your LAZY efforts aren't working

SE found the secret to getting gpose afkers to actually run content though. Just put a coffer with a cute glamour in it at the end of it and they'll be running it nonstop for the foreseeable future.

I wonder, if they do the same thing with savage content, would that get people to actually learn how to play their jobs and clear hard content just for a cute outfit?

How do you figure you will get the coffer after 3 runs with a party of 8? You have to roll against the entire alliance for coffer, minion, and music.

People managed to organise BA-runs and if I'm not mistaken games like WoW actually have or at least had raids that were more like our Savage-raids were you had to coordinate 40 people or something like that? For our first Orbonne-run we managed to put a whole alliance together to go in blind - the game has a system in place for that. And we already have/had stuff like "24 man sundays" when people would queue up for them to get queues going for those who needed to do them for the first time.

As someone managing a static I am aware of how annoying and exhausting it can be to coordinate a huge amount of people, but this idea still doesnt sound to bad! I would imagine that most people play every day at around the same time, so... just find 23 other people who match your time, set up a Discord/Linkshell/Circle for better coordination, do one run before evening and you're done in a little over a week.

Already seen it happen in pf on Aether where they do multiple runs to try and get their loot, its not perfect since your still at the whims of 23 other people staying but it is better than just going in solo at least after the 1st run.

I think it would be a logistical nightmare. If you could secure 1 coffer per run for your party. You are looking at 6 hours of running it. So, you are more than likely to have some attrition here and there from that long of a timespan. Each new player added to replace those lost to the party (who may have already won a coffer) is an extra 45 minutes on average (per one run) for those who want to stick it out. That is an average of 45 minutes per run, could be more could be less, dealing with the whims of the DF probably longer than 45 minutes per run, or an average of longer if said new player(s) don't actually win.

I do a lot of farming, and I have never seen a group of 8 in anything last more than 2 and a half to 3 hours. This could be possible in say, an FC, static, or something of the like, however for most players this will not be the case. A pick up group would be near impossible.

I mean... there is no need to do all 8 runs back-to-back? Maybe I'm in a fortunate position but I think if I really put my mind to it I could gather up 23 other people - friends and friends of friends - and pick like 3-4 evenings for this ordeal.

I havent really seen a group of 8 people stick it out for longer than 3 hours either, but I've seen groups of 8 people sticking it out for 3 hours or more on more than one occassion - both with randoms who found each other through PF while trying to clear something ("same again tomorrow?") and with statics, obviously.
Coordinating 24 people is gonna be a pain, yeah but actually all you'd need would be 3 statics who are raiding roughly at the same time to do this instead.

For an FC, or static, or something like that, yeah maybe. They don't have to do it all at once. For the average player, or those who are just shy of the 8 players, the new person will probably not be there again to run it later. Any pugs will expect to win the coffer, even if they are being nice, it is unlikely if they have already won that they will come back the next day to assist in guaranteeing another player will get their coffer. It would be too much time out of their day for no reward. Sure there are variables like, well they could just be assisting because they still need their weekly item. Still, in a perfect world, or a perfect situation plausible, it could be possible. However, humans are inherently selfish, and at least for the average player, probably not gonna happen.

These are all variables for a group of 8 players. 3 groups for 24 would be an even worse nightmare, again potentially viable for a few groups of statics, or a large FC, that may dedicate their "raid night" to this. Still, I wonder can you guarantee the 3 groups could actually get into the same instance? Maybe I am overlooking something.. If they can't get into the same instance every time, then the odds would be completely in the dumpster, for any and all, or just the one group.

To be honest, I don't think this item is worth the hassle, of this large of an organization even if you had the dedicated numbers. Maybe for a mount, or actual gear upgrades. Like even in a perfect scenario where everything can be done, overtime even, yeah just not worth it.

40-player raids only exist in Classic, because they were such a bitch to coordinate. (And half of the raid was usually AFK or dead on the floor anyway.) Later raids top at 25 players.
