You do realize that by now you're only making yourself look bad to the ENTIRE pvp community, and everytime you post its in contradiction to another post you put up recently. Maybe you should re read everything you have said thus far. Because honestly its just like wow just wow.

If gear didn't mattered you'd want people to cast spell with zero spell speed, butt naked and for good measures with 2% crit rate? Ok even say you allow PvE gear in, there will still be people who complaint about not having "Better" PvE gear due to not running raids or bad RnG. In the end of the day, there needs to be something for PvP just as much as people cry that Allagan Weapon users have an unfair advantage up till ilvl 90 PvP gear.

Yeah man, totally. One post she's saying she can only deal 6k damage in a fight, then another she can only crit for under 1k, then it's suddenly 2400 and the entire enemy team. A full team of players has at least 15k health if they aren't naked. So which is it? Your posts are beginning to confuse me. I believe you are trying to convince us all that the coming changes to SMN damage are unwarranted, but you keep arguing for, and then against your own case. I don't think we're the ones that need convincing though.

I just want to put out Yoi Chi from excalibur who I sometimes que with uses mostly pve gear and still globals people in FULL ilvl 70 pvp gear. So someone who has 0 morale against people who have 200 morale and still globals them. How does pvp gear carry summoners? also he does more then 4k damage. he usually averages 7-10k in 1 minute matches with me. So i dont understand what this man is saying...I need someone to explain to me the logic behind this

I just need to add one comment. I have played with, and against several rank 30, I lvl90 pvp players. (I'm rank 22, almost 23, with full ilvl 70 pvp gear. I only qued lvl 50.) Yes, they do crazy damage, but they *can* be shut down by a group with lower avg item lvl. But, in order to do that, it takes planning, skill, and knowledge of your abilities, as well as theirs. The only tried and true way to do that, is to have exp with the pvp system. It won't happen from a team of noobs, or a group who spent all their time qued up on lvl 30/40. So, as I have said before, if morale is the problem, que lvl 30/40. There, you will probably have the best gear. Even then, I wouldn't be surprised if some still complained.

You have no idea. The number of people abusing this has exploded.

The only way you're going to win against Rank 30s is that you have a flawless BLM. Damage wise and survivability they are going to roll you over. Double Summoners in iLvl70 cannot burst down a iLvl 90 PvP Healer. And iLvl 90 BLM/SMN can punch a hole so hard your healers won't have time to respond.

Or just... fix the issue and leave jumping in.

Summoners can easily be shut down by Bards because there auto attack interrupts casting no matter how far a Summoner is away from the Bard in the Wolves Den. People complaining about Summoners don't get it nerfing won't solve anything it's just going to force teams that use double summer comps to switch to Black Mage and Summoner Comp or a Double Bard comp for there party. Square should just make a pvp map that players can play on the Wolves Den is simply too small for casters and ranged classes.

Stop please O gawd please just stop. For your sake please.

Only reason people were suggesting to nerd the Summoner was because of the double summoner comp not their damage. One Summoner is not that op it can be shut down by a Dragoon, White Mage, Black Mage or Tank easily just have one person sit on them and watch there damage drop like a stone. Even with a nerf if a team lets a Summoner set up there dots then a teams will still be killed in one global.

I hope Square nerfs auto attacks interrupt casting to where it is global cds interrupting casting

Tell me how you want to stop Ruin 2 Spam along with Bio, Miasma 2, Swiftcast Miasma, Energy Drain, Fester and Pet. As a DRG, WHM, BLM, PLD, MRD? Auto attacks never interrupted casting in the first place, it is only skill usage that interrupts.

Funny cause I blow people up without dots or fester. I use all instant cast abilities and global people. Also, I have had 3 melee dps on me trying to "train me" and i globaled all three. Balanced is the correct word i guess. Oh and im still killing ilvl 90 bards and warriors without fester. But you seem to know a great deal about summoners so im going to sit back and enjoy this while you make yourself look MORE silly on the forums because no one takes your comments seriously since you lost all your "cred" on the first 2 weeks

Summoners are fine. Undo planned nerfs. This post is also incredibly real.

Auto attacks do interrupt casting there are always Bardsq, DrG, PLD and MRd interrupting casting with just there auto attacks instead of skills

Summoner and Black Mage are comparable in damage I've globaled an entire team on my Summoner and I globaled an entire team on my Black Mage. There two of the most powerful and iconic classes in Final Fantasy the reality is they are fine where they are at and it should take an entire team to take them time if anything Summoners and Black Mages should be buffed and be more challenging to defeat.

I think you need to pay attention on what damage you take to clearly see that it is Bloodletter and skill usage that interrupts you. If Auto attacks really cancelled cast, I wouldn't be able to cast Blizzard 2 at all when a MNK sticks on me or a BRD with Barrage popped.

With that said, sure Blowing someone up as a BLM is not as easy as SMN. If the opposing team allows you to free cast it is really their fault they lose the game. Hardly anything can (Unless PvP Vit Accessories are used) survive a Flare > Fire 3 (Firestarter) > Swiftcast Flare. On the other hand, you really cannot stop SMN's burst or pressure is the main reason why they are the FoTM class. Killing someone on a BLM is more fulfilling than a SMN in my opinion, just as much as the feeling of 1.7k Butcher Blocking people at the first week feels good the aesthetic feel is lost quickly cause it doesn't really take much effort to set it up.

Pics or it didn't happen. Did he do it all by himself? Did he just happen to land the killing blows on 3 people? Were his 3 opponents standing around AFK? The only thing that needs to be said he at this point is "Cool story, bro."

I think main reason why smn is op is that ms effect if u have marauden and summoner on same target u get 75% healing reduction effect and with that its impossible get heal up without cooldowns especially without scholar. I think it would be good if both healing reduction effect would be max 25% and can not stack or both 15% marauden and smn if its stackable.

Lustrate and Benediction both ignore the healing debuff anyway. The main reason SMN is OP is because their damage output is higher than the rent in most states.

Benediction cd is 5min? thats pretty unfair when scholar can spam Lustrate every 1min when whm can use Benediction only once.

I agree burst dmg need 2 fixed too but ms effect can not stay as it is now. Lustrate spam only give scholar huge adventage compared whm if ms effect is that high.

The main reason Summoner is OP is because it scales great with gear one new piece of gear can considerably increase or damage output. Also if you look at the pvp gear set it has higher stats than the pve gear. The Dire Wolf set which is ilvl pvp gives you the same stats as a full set of Darklight gear when you compare the base stats Intelligence, Critical Chance and Determination. I do slightly more damage than a Black Mage as a Summoner which is where there at in pve. If everything is optimal I 'll out damage a Black Mage by 20%.

There is one thing a Summoner can't defend against that is sleep there was a few matches where the healer would just camp me and sleep and every time it was almost off I would be slept again so Summoners can be shut down pretty easily and then my op damage will be zero.

Your healer was bad.

What would balance pvp is if they had 8v8 cause with 4v4 it relies to heavily on classes gear and skill with more people it should balance out certain classes and strategies. 4v4 pvp has the same issues as single player no matter what certain classes can easily kill others.
