Why are PC players being so stuck up to ps3 players?

You do realize XI was released on the XBox360, right? And it was still chained to the same braindead engine and game design based around the PS2? That was a game that had to delete unused autotranslate terms to make room for new ones. Where monsters past 50 yalms didn't exist. Where selection boxes were limited to three lines high. Where the ENTIRE UI was based around a 640x480 resolution, and didn't scale. Where inventory was (and still is) capped to 80 items. All because of PS2 limitations. Meanwhile, PC-based MMOs gained traction and left XI in the dust.

FFXIV feels like such a great game. It would be a shame to see it crippled by decisions meant to accommodate the PS3 peasantry.

Was your character name the same that is listed on your forum avatar? Shambala Zenwhisper is a perfectly fine name even for a hard core rp group. But i agree people are always looking for ways to split the communities now a days. Unless they specifically tell me they are on a ps3, i cant tell.

other then PC is currently making 10 billion more then Consoles, and currently has more game developers and more people game on PCs then anything else.

Can you point me to an MMO that has upgraded with the times? It's not like EQ and Runescape are making massive upgrades to reflect how far computers have come since then. Their UIs still look like shit compared to modern MMOs.

There has never been an MMO that has taken advantage of computational upgrades. It has nothing to do with PS2 or PS3 limitations. Companies just don't do entire reworks of successful MMOs like that. They would rather build a whole new one instead of make a really old one look marginally better.

1 Most mmo gamers are pc users and for us the range of players goes from awesome to d bag 5000s, sounds like you console folks are used to a much more fluffy crowd
2 Most ps3 players here cant/ do not make the effort to talk/chat/voice or make themselves part of the game community while in game.
3 While we had our awesome cant log in 2 weeks of 1017 the ps3 players NEVER LOGGED OUT, so some backlash is due to that. you guys bragged about it in every thread.

Its not ironic when you are too dense to understand that PS3 has severe limitations. Its not about empirical experiences, its about the average computer being more capable of running the game more smoothly than the ps3.

Well, us PC players have to feel special somewhere, don't we? I certainly don't feel special driving my Ford Focus through Beverly Hills everyday, lol.

And that has what to do with your personal play experience, exactly? What "fact" do you have that PS3 having a lower frame rate and crappier resolution makes your experience worse? Surely you have a good reason and aren't just being a dick for no reason, right?

I can't even be sarcastic anymore. Do you really, seriously think the only people staying logged in were PS3 users? Do you think that only the PS3 had the ability to be logged in during those times? That's conspiracy theory-level nonsense.
