Please add to my list, I’m going for a full house at this point
It's not missing the point at all. There's an entire thread populated mainly with "strike" people trying to act as if a small group of elite streamers clearing a dungeon without a healer means anything for the typical player, plus it was originally brought up by the strike cabal in the strike thread itself. But attack the person when you can't refute the point, right?
That person is implying it’s xeno’s minions attempting to stir up drama because they don’t like healer, that is physically the furthest thing you could get from the truth while still having it somewhat resemble the actual arguments being made
Especially when they also said “trying to make everyone believe nobody likes healers”, no we don’t like healers which is why we aren’t playing them, and none of us have any connection to xeno, I don’t even like xeno
Their representation of our “claim” is also completely wrong and the idea of “f off back to WOW rather than leaving complaints” is just pathetic deflection of criticism. This problem has almost nothing to do with xeno at all he is just the straw that broke the camels back
So no I’m not going to pretend to refute their point because they didn’t have one in the first place and the subsequent points I’m not attacking them I physically do not understand what they are saying
you miss: minion in my post, way to critical other while you also have it
This sentence by them literally make no sense to me
Nobody claimed the that one video was the problem. It was a trigger sure, and it's a nice example how bad you can play and still get through a dungeon without much troubles without a healer, but the problems have existed for years. And there have been lots of other complaints about healers for years. Many healers have spend countless hours detailing all the problems with healers. And multiple healers have publicly announced their departure specifically over the state of healers in FF, long before the strike.
You mean with stuff like characterizing people you disagree with as a "strike cabal"? Then yes, I agree that's not showing a willingness for a good faith conversation.
Taking your analogy a step further, if you were boycotting (because this is really a boycott and nothing like an actual strike) carrying heavy boxes around and had made that clear, then one would hope if they are truly friends they would support your decision and not ask you to carry heavy boxes for them. Otherwise are you really committed to boycotting carrying heavy boxes around if you do it whenever the right person asks?
That's what healers who aren't leaving the role entirely are doing to their point. They are undermining it with exceptions. It's not really hard to see why so many aren't taking this seriously if the participants themselves aren't showing full commitment.
