I am personally moon 1 face, and they did the exact opposite on the nose straightness. It was near straight and now there's a bump, come fetch it?

this ! i feel like all races have chubbier faces / more young lookin now (even roegadyn males look cute now xD) , it's great if you are going with the cute look , but if you are going for anything else but cute you won't be happy .

I'm definitely disappointed at the removal of the lip gap. It was very cute and made my character look lost in thought which I liked. It's not a dealbreaker, she could just be putting more effort into closing her mouth, but I do wish they'd keep it.

It's so strange seeing them exaggerate your nose that barely had a bump on it (very slight if you really look close)...and straighten mine which had an obvious shape...I don't think at this point this is "Man it's the polygon count that made it look that way".

Yeah, and I chose the eye shape I did because it had very prominent, thick eyelashes and her lip color is set to light/black, so I lucked out really. I might lighten the lips to see how it looks, but overall I’m pleased. However I understand where everyone is coming from with this thread; I’m extremely displeased with how my male Miqo’te looks. It’s really distressing how much has been changed while they say they want to keep our characters looking like our characters. I hope all this feedback is taken seriously. If only we had a more precise character creator instead of the most basic, janky cc possible.

I've posted these to another thread but my face 4 miqo'te really took the biggest L with the graphical update.. Giving her so much makeup all of a sudden completely defeats the purpose of her character, she's supposed to be boyish and the face was so perfect for her, I really don't want her to lose the features that made her who she is. The lip gap was so cute too. The least I'm asking from Square is to consider keeping the more natural look for the lashes.

Totally agree, i get a very similar feeling with mine, it seems like a diffferent character now, between the eyes and mouth, the expression is different. Feels like the characters older sister.

If it's any comfort to you, the tomboy-ish issue was raised in the JP forum thread, however I don't think anyone mentioned nose changes/lip gap.
The issue with the intense eyelashes/liner has been raised as well and has plenty of upvotes.
I think sadly our face might be abit unpopular on the JP side, or perhaps people are happy with the changes. I really miss the lip gap, but I can't stand the changes to the nose and the heavy eyeliner/lashes. I can tolerate everything else.

It's an unpleasant situation to be in.

What!!? That’s so strange! Now I’m really confused! I assumed we all just lost detail when they increased polycount since that tends to happen if you don’t go in and manually recreate the shapes after, say, subdividing. But was that not the case?? I’m so lost now.

Oh gosh. My condolences. Yours took a similar hit to mine. It’s even more noticeable on yours since you had a even more boyish look than I did. I really hope our characters can have their key details returned. I was thinking recently the benchmark version of mine looks like she’s my characters older sister now, and it’s a similar vibe for a lot of yours as well.
