Thats not correct. The group as a whole decides the pace of the dungeon. Pulling extra mobs is not greifing, you pull them to the tank to pick up. This is the social culture of the game.

Optimal play is a higher bar than competent play. Pretending that the two are the same thing is not a well thought out and mature proposition. Why should I take you seriously when that is the position you are defending?
No that's wrong but you can believe what you want to. I'm not saying a tank special but the tank pulls what they think the group can handle taking in their skill,healers and DPS. by then pulling what they believe the group capable of this means they set the pace, now can this vary group to group yes, but it's a take job to assess what they believe it's capable of.
DPS always want to run the show. You’d think they would cultivate more patience with all of that time they spend waiting for their turn in queue.
I have no issue running content under ultimate on any role. I run dungeons on tank/healer more often than I do dps. You just sound like a grouch.
I think your argument would have a little more merit if the trash packs in this game we actually dangerous. Its something mythic + in WoW actually gets right. People remember which mobs require CC. In XIV every dungeon can be solved with a w2w with little to no issue.
Do I think Wall 2 Wall pulling is doable in every dungeon? Yes.
Do I think all tanks should learn how to do this? Yes.
Am I bored out of my mind when once every few months of daily expert roulettes they don't? Yes.
Am I more forgiving of new tanks in levelling roulettes / first timers? Yes.
Do I think it's my job to say anything more than "it's okay to pull more" or run around and pull mobs as a healer / dps? No.
