Yep, you do. Because when interacting with others in the static-finding/recruiting community, you'll find that callout AddOns or the like are "normalized". That's why it's the norm to use them/not care if someone is using them, and unusual to ban their use. Parsers and logging are must-haves in the raiding community for instance.
Did the right thing. If your static wants to keep a cheater because they benefit from having a cheater for easier clears, good riddance.
Anyone who thinks you needed to have a group discussion fto decide whether you can remove someone who streams cheating is strange to me. A message explaining why the decision was made was enough.
Your better off in the long run without the cheater or cheater sympathizers who’d rather keep a cheater than be inconvenienced.
I think you could have pulled him to the side and asked him cease and to delete that vod. A simple conversation can work miracles. Now other people will probably be wary to raid with you as you have now been labeled a snitch.
Or at the very least, label them problematic and incapable of solving issues without creating drama. Seriously, how awkward can you get? No one wants someone like that on their team, much less at the leader of their static.
The whole discussion around 3pp here is just a symptom of the greater issue: OP's inability to lead and solve issues as leader of a group without creating a mess.
lol. Removing a streaming cheater is something a leader should do and solved the issue. A group discussion shouldn’t change that decision. Such weird takes I’m this thread. I wonder if people act this dense just to be contrarian or argue.
Being a leader is doing the right thing. Even when it’s inconvenient. Sounds like the other players just wanted easy clears with a cheater.
