Problems have only started since 1.21 and the server merge. Two points do not make a trend.

Flawless patches don't exist.
that was a good read.. i laughed. i cried, laughed again, pondered the meaning of virtual life , cried some more.. .. .. ..
this is why i come to this forum...
lol a little bit of time zone complex XD
Wow...this deserved a thread?
People really need to look at the greater picture...and your world doesn't crumble if you don't get to experience a game for a few hours...
It's software...it always has hitches...to err is human...when you can make something better come to the plate...otherwise wait for the food to come to the table.
Didn't momma tell you to wait till the meat was cooked all the way through? Now you've gone and done it...
OP is at least partly right when complaining. Cannot understand that OTHER GAMERS are teasing OP about he got nervous. I tell what happened to me. I'm angry too about "SE services". When I tried to login after game was updated, It informed that either my id or password is not valid. I'm sure I gave right ones, impossible to forget XIV ones :). After two tries I sd wait almost an hour to try again... Brains are lacking from that guy who invented this. So somehow SE had lost my password. I could not cancel my SE account, send mails to support, even ask help from this forum. Everything needs id and password. If trying to contact support, they need also security question - that you cannot change if you don't remember the previous (WHY). I don't remember what security question I have given to SE years ago. So if you (or SE in this case) corrupt your password and crysta is taken automatically - you cannot do anything but contact credit card company. Luckily this time I managed to get in to my SE account and change my password. That new changed password worked in all places. But if this happens to you and you are not specialist - you are in trouble. Support asking from SE has been made too complicated.
As a side note myself (obviously I didn't read the full thread but I didn't notice this stated during the first couple of pages, though it's early, I may just be a moron) - the OP does actually have a legitimate complaint in one particular area.
The timing of every patch release and server maintenance is just a wee bit unpleasant. Where is the inclination to run these things earlier in the day, US time? I get it, SE is a Japanese company, and they're going to work their updates in to avoid the prime playing hours for Japan, but they have American consumers as well, and European for that matter. I would love to see an infinitely more respectful system that rotated the patch implementation times so that each "prime time" segment got nailed every so often. As is, it is consistently the American time zones that get hit.
It's not a big deal, really, but I would certainly appreciate the gesture myself. It's somewhat unfortunate that for many of us, "play with the new content day" = the day after the patch is supposed to come out, unless you and your friends are staying up until 4am or later.
