Ok, so as most of you can tell, I don't post often in the lodestone forums. I read over much, but rarely feel the need to give my opinion as it is usually expressed by other players.
Today's Maintenance is the first time I have truly become genuinely frustrated and angry with Square-Enix.
I have been playing FFXIV since before its Launch over a year ago, and I have stuck with it because I am a true fan of SE and believe they produce quality gaming. I never once complained about the lack of game play in FFXIV, nor the constant Maintenance or "Emergency Maintenance" which happen to ALWAYS fall on my days off from work (Being an American and having to sit around waiting for servers to come up so the JP and AUS player's don't have their prime time messed with).
We are Paying Customers and I am now at a point that I do not feel I am getting my Money's worth. Today, I waited for 5 hours to play the game I pay a monthly subscription to, just to get on and have to wait another 5 hours? Thanks SE, there goes my entire Day Off.
What I would like to know is, "Is this a Trend you are setting for FFXIV?" If "Emergency Maintenance" is going to be a regular occurrence (as it as been for the past year), how can we, as players, schedule our free time to enjoy the game we are paying for? Are we just paying you so we can be constantly inconvenienced?
