Good one! Definitely part of the "Malboro Novice Network mafia" even though I'm not on that datacenter, only have 1 character, and have never been to Malboro in the 10 years I've played this game. Definitely me.
Oh I'm sure threatening to bear the full force of the Novice Network mafia upon me is productive. Know that I'll not bend in the face of private housing tyranny.
Having played for some time, I've seen how the housing system has been implemented rather... poorly. While I can concede some... aspect of OP's argument, fact of the matter is : First come, first served. You don't have to like the system (I can tell you about the last time I tried to bid for a private house and... how it affected me, healthwise), but until SE decides to change it, like it or lump it.
I will add... I don't understand why some people and FC's have multiple houses. I have heard of a ward on another data center, which all the houses are own by a single FC. I honestly think that housing should be one per account (including alts) and maybe, some wards solely for FC's. But saying that FC's should have the dominance in the housing areas... I'm sorry, i disagree with that @OP.
As a private individual, I am not sure why I should be punished for taking the time to craft/gather and work hard for my gil. I transferred DC's and I have four of my retainers stuck with all my medium's furnishings. I rather not buy five apartments to store it and I am NOT going to click a plaquard for 24 hours. I have every right to purchase when everyone else does.
Actually, it's 1440 new houses per server. Also, if you read the post again it mentioned this is a temporary solution until travel restriction get lifted due to Covid-19 and they can install new server hardware.
Sounds like you not aware they have to prep the servers in japan, you know where the dev's at and ship them out to all datacenters but there is a thing called travel restrictions in the world so that's that.
But hey, keep being rude to people in this thread and act like a child on a anger tantrum.
