I don't see why the YORHA gear should be a special case, but I AM in favor of removing job/class restrictions on all gear EXCEPT for weapons, offhand items and job/class specific gear. Such as artifact armors or the profession specific doh/dol sets.
If a set is made for just one job or one doh/dol class, then sure, I see the value in not letting everyone glam it. But for all other gear, I see no reason (other than it being difficult to actually do because of crummy 1.0 foundation) to not allow you to say glam fending gear onto aiming or scouting onto striking etc in general. But the YORHA gear specifically? If they're going to remove those trestrictions might as well remove it for all roll based sets.
[Suggestion] Remove the role restrictions on the YoRHa gear?

I’d be for this. The Aiming body is my favorite of the Nier body pieces (with the Caster one being second), and I would like to be able to use them on my healers since I’m not all about the 80s prom dress look. I doubt that this would increase any sort of “homogeneity”—it would actually give all roles more glamour options to pick from...which is kind of the opposite of something that is homogenized.
I’m wagering some just don’t understand what the word “homogeneity” means at this point. After reading 6 pages of the same couple of posters employing the word dodging the question of “how would giving people more glamour options make things homogenized”.Quote:

I can understand people not wanting a certain option for reasons like 1- It can affect gameplay 2- It can affect content development 3- It doesn't fit the lore, immersion etc. (like removing job gear restriction) 4- If you want it, put the effort to get it (like dyeable raid gear from savage or unsynced ultimates) 5- it's inappropriate for some cultures.
But the "I don't want to see a lot of people wearing it" reason, for something that has no effect on lore or immersion, seems more to have reached the realm of entitlement to be honest. Of course the "you want to wear it, then level the role for it" reason is a understandable (no.4) as long as it's not tied to "but you shouldn't be able to use it on other roles. Because I don't want to see others wearing it". -

Personally, I think its dumb we already have as much nonsense all/all stuff as we do. "Is mostly naked bikinifrog a tank, a healer or dps?!" isnt a question that should ever be asked.
Id love a few specific things to be unlocked (why are the only pairs of gloves that look like legit work gloves not a crafter item, but DoW?), but having things armor-type locked isnt a bad thing. Being able to identify at a glance heavy armor = tank, lighter armor = melee/range dps, cloth/robes = caster/healer is a staple of this genre. -

But there’s quite a bit in this game that don’t have inherent “tank” or inherent “healer” (etc. for the other roles) qualities to them. Nothing about the Nier tank body screams “tank”, especially since it’s nearly identical to the healer body. Same with my Aiming one (though it is one of the few Aiming pieces that can actually fit DNC thematically and not look silly).Quote:
