-15 or -30 or even -50 enmity when talking about this overpowering amount of dmg that someone's drg can do is a useless stat, yes, even when stacked against the + that warrior has. hate doesn't decay, so if you're in a fight where you're the best DD ever and you take no dmg at all yourself, you'd have hate. I have no problem with Drg, i love my drg too, i know it can put out great numbers, but posts how warrior doesn't even come close to drg make me call bullshit.
I love DRG and MNK, I know how to play them both, I will take that over a half assed WAR.
WAR in tanking gear = high VIT and HP, the cost of that is low STR, Crit att power/rate, att power etc,
WAR in DD gear = lower VIT and HP, so they die faster when they inevitably pull hate with thier steel cyclone spam.
Also lets not forget theres a new patch between WAR's AA which means lower TP generation therefore lower damage in the longer fights.
All this thread is gonna do is nerf WAR and I say BRING ON DA NERF!!!! making WAR useless will be your reward for your eliteism of DRG AND MNK ARE USELESS GET ON WAR NAO!!!
Maybe because most people have enough common sense to realize that DPS between the jobs is noticeable but not extremely large (IE: like 1-2k more damage on big fights). Let't not forget DRG AF has buttloads of -Enmity, no hate grabbing moves, and they have hate reduction moves, while WAR's have lots of +Enmity, no hate reduction moves, and tons of hate grabbing moves, and one of their main AoE WS's is played right off an Enmity combo further cementing hate. I really don't see any supporting arguments for your accusation on the matter.
We only play as Warriors because this game is called Warrior Fantasy XIV. No, wait, this is Black Mage Fantasy XIV. My bad.

On a less sarcastic note, I'll reiterate what I said on the PLD thread about WAR. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets nerfed eventually, because people overuse it right now.
Also, the current new dungeons are the player's main activities at end-game, and players don't like to have variety with their strategies and will stack classes. It's happened with LNC stacking at Ifrit, it's happened with the same Ifrit with THM stacking, now it's Chimera and Miser with BLM stacking. Right now, WAR is preferred for both tanking and DDing at close range. Come some patch, everything will change and the flavor of the month will be another class/job. So it has been so far, and so it will still be.
Which makes me wonder why SE, in its video introducing Cutter's Cry, had a BALANCED party of 2 WHMs and one of all the other jobs ? Well it's pretty simple : Because it can work, but we, the player community, don't want to bother playing as a TEAM whose members complement each other and prefer to play a group of soloists by stacking classes/jobs. Much easier that way I suppose.
In short : Neither DRG nor MNK are useless by design. We decided them to be. And that "decision" is still a bit far-fetched, because so far about the only examples I've been given were the bosses from instances... Once again, I wasn't aware I was playing Instance Fantasy XIV.
My post is in response to the post above it which paints DRG as the end all DD job compared to warrior, that just isn't true. Also, as a side note, people in FFXIV are lacking in common sense most times.
I wasn't saying that DRG are super overpowered, I was saying, "if they were" as SOMEONE WHO ISN'T ME said they are.... did we not read all the posts in here? uh-oh! L2R!~
