Adressing the roots of the housing problem

2. I bought the small plot for my Au-Ra girl recently, in 4.1. I paid for the plot, wasted a looooot of time and gil gathering and crafting my shirogane castle walls, I spent much more time and gil buying, gathering materials and crafting furniture (more than 60M gil) and of course, as a good customer, i spent a lot of real money in mogstation for some exclusive furniture. All is binded. I can’t share them between my characters because styles don't fit (a coffin surrounded by pink plushes is quite disturbing). Are they gonna refound all my gil, time and of course, real money?

3. I'm playing a game with subscriptions. I pay for an account with some conditions. And Square Enix is changing my conditions. No compensations at all. They are violating my rights as a consumer. I don't know anything about consumer laws in Japan, but a little bit about European and North American consumer protection laws. SE can't change an agreement (involving money transactions) without compensations.

4. Square Enix are lazy:
- YOSHI: Hey dudes, we have a problem with housing. What should we do?
- DUDE 1: Maybe, revamp the housing system in order to allow all players to have one or multiple properties?
- DUDE 2: Can we introduce apartment system, with different sizes and no property limitations in order to solve housing problems and give housing lovers new stimulus?
- YOSHI: No way! Let's maintain the system. No innovations. No new ideas. Halve the rights of players, F**k housing lovers, F**k furniture sellers. Just copy and paste and let's introduce restrictions.

5. For those who don't LOVE housing and think that this is a good idea: For me and my housing group friends in the game, in different servers, forums, etc; having new housing opportunities (more space, more recipes, improving housing system) is like new jobs, new raids or new weapons for you. Just think what would happened if Yoshi announced that you could no longer play all jobs. Only few jobs per service account. I'm pretty sure you will feel disappointed.


Dear Square, you are not solving any problem. Just damaging people who enjoy a wonderful housing system and reducing our rights as players (to all of us) without any compensation nor agreement.

1. You can edit your original post to surpass the character limit. It'll help consolidate your points and thoughts.
2. you're pretty passionately arguing against something that isn't going to affect your current ingame characters. You can move your current houses, you can still use them, you just cannot , in the future ,purchase MORE houses per account.

They are not changing the transaction of money between you and them, dont know where on gods green earth your getting that idea. As for your items its not SE's fault you have style issues thats your problem... SOLVE THEM!! As for mogstation items they are one of many items that should you lose a house. They will goto the recompse vendor, storage of your other home, your inventory,etc.

Ho boy I actually didn't know like half the stuff brought up when i made the thread.
I own an fc house and two personal houses on omega. And yes, I do feel pretty selfish about the second personal. I bought it for an rp alt, because I wanted to be able to share it with her IC twin, who hasn't leveled her character enough to buy a house herself, so she could also teleport there and use the stuff.

I do agree on this. We still have time now to decide which one we will keep. Here I do also have to ask for a way to sell our houses back to the system. I don't want to demand some millions of gil from another player, but I do want to get back some of the money I invested, even if not all, since it's meant to be a gil sink after all. But I don't want to have to wait for 45 days in order to get rid of a house I already know I don't need. I don't even know if the timer is currently running to be honest.

FCs should absolutely get priority over houses, since there are gameplay functions bound to them, and fcs can house many more people than a personal house. The problem with apartments is just that they are a complete dissapointment. They are tiny with no larger options, there's no garden, no fancy halls like you have at the entrance of a large house. Apartments could be done so well, since they are instanced, but currently they feel like the least they could do for private housing. You can't share it, you can't really garden, it's just this tiny room. Honestly if they added even just an option with a balcony I'd be all over them, but as it is now, there's nothing speaking for apartments as long as there is other options.

Keep checking Wards from the main city state crystals. I JUST got a Goblet Medium house on Balmung that was abandoned earlier tonight. Offered my FC leader a chance to get it for the FC but she is waiting for a Large in 4.2. I've spent the last month checking, and just caught the price in white lettering while scrolling through wards in Ul'dah out of the corner of my eye.

The game gets changed all the time. New content is added and old content is changed, and I'm sure nowhere in any contract does it say you are paying for accessing as much housing as you want.

I challenge you to read the ToS Eula and come back here and say that again.
Stop talking foolish idiocies and deal with reality.
SE owns this game and all the content therein...they reserve the right to change it at-will. The agreement was not changed. Stop making stuff up to suit your argument.

Thanks for the info about the post! I waste a lot of time spreading it in parts XDDD

And, if i have understood you right: if i have two private houses with two different characters in the same world, i can keep my two houses but not buying a new one? Still not being the best solution, but at least i would not lost anything...
