4.0 MCH is Weak

Losing GB and your Turret is a dps loss when there is a target to hit.

MCH can enter overheat and lose GB before bosses change phase and become un-targetable.

I have done 4 or so susano kills before ACt was updated and another 10 afterwards with around 304 ilvl still no gun drop nor am i gonna buy it, cause its probably gonna be the sam that is now lvl 69 I've been leveling the past few days. even if you get perfect rotation its not gonna change much the only time Mch will ever be ahead of another dps Is if they die once or twice or just really really bad.

here is how it goes down.. even if MCH dps is better than BRD, it still cant beat bard in utilities wise, so for MCH is to have a chance to compete with brd they either have to buff their utility OR make MCH dps is about EQUAL as other dps.

The thing with BRD is that their damage buffs are chances. (2% Critical Hit rate, 15% Direct hit rate)
While MCH is a fixed and guaranteed 5% damage increase.

BRD Battle Voice CD is 180s
MCH Hypercharge CD is 120s

Another thing, BRD is not affected by its own buffs, unlike MCH.

BRD has Nature's Minne, MCH has Dismantle. (BRD increase healing to a single party member while MCH reduces damage dealt by target, which could be tank busters or wide AoE damage).

The only thing that puts BRD ahead of MCH is Troubadour. Which has different effects depending on which song is played. BRD will need to manage their song in order to have the right effect when it is needed.

BRD also has The Warden's Paean, but with pacification gone from WAR no clue yet if it will be useful in raid.

Law of Big Numbers. with 8 players GCDs going off every 1.5~ seconds, the percentages even out to be relatively consistent. Now, is it equal to a flat 5% vulnerability? I'm not sure.

And yet BRD is still out damaging MCH. MCH ONLY has damaging utility, not support utility [Save, Dismantle] (that isn't Role specific and available to both). So if they aren't DPSing more, this is a sign of a problem.

Right, BRD has more utility than MCH does, as you're showing here. And Warden's could potentially be more effective than it ever has been. It's unknown as of now. Why do skills like Crutch exist? If PvE content starts to rely on cleansing status debuffs then Wardens could be incredibly useful, if it's more of the same then yes it's sort of worthless.

15% direct hit + 2% crit rate + 3% dmg increase vs 5% dmg increase.. bard obviously win this fight
Dismantle vs Troubadour.. brd should win just because 15% hp boost with 30s duration compare to 10% dmg reduction with ONLY 5s
bard also carries Warden peans and nature's minne (believe it or not those 2 unities are AMAZING to have)

So in the end BRD is still "better" than MCH in so many support levels and I think its always are going to be like this. the only way for MCH to step up is to hope for DMG boost in the future patch.

Not saying MCH is better support than BRD. Idk where you got that from, I clearly showed that BRD is a winner in my last statement.

Also, keep in mind that Rate = Chance. There will be times when you have no luck with crits. (I'd still go for it)

Just a correction, it is not. They have Palisade as Role specific which only affects physical damage.
Dismantle on the other hand affects both physical and magical attacks.

Yes, MCH is definitely one of the most fun classes to play due to its difficulty and visually, however its difficulty doesn't reflect in their DPS or anything at all.
Every other class can do whatever MCH does and better, they deal WAY better DPS and are easier to play.
So what did SE try to do with MCH? Shelve it for this patch? Give us something, more dmg, more support at least, whatever.
The class LOOKS so attractive and it is so difficult to play, gotta manage Hot Shot along with Gauge etc, even though Hot Shot is so weak that it doesn't even make it competitive or barely noticeable if its up or not.
The job needs something more; Why does Dismantle lasts only enough for a single skill/hit? Why don't we have more supportive skills like BRD or at least higher DPS than BRD? What was the point of adding such cool effects Heat Shots if you (SE) meant to kill the job? xP

Another thing I'd like to bring up is AoE DPS. Since we lost our DoT, Grenado Shot and enhanced Spread shot, going against multiple targets got a lot harder. Granted, popping Hypercharge Bishop, Flamethrowering and ammo Spread Shotting during overheat and finishing with an exploding bishop does some nice numbers, but if things don't die fast enough you are sitting ducks, especially since our TP gains also got shafted. Other classes seem to do it rather effortlessly.

Dismantle is kinda meh.....it's only 10% for 5 seconds....one hit....tanks can easily survive tank busters, and a lot of the time you get overhealed anyways so the 10% less damage taken is nothing.

Yeah while Dismantle being a flat 10% less damage is nice. 5 seconds is AT BEST 3 hits (2 autos and something else -maybe-).
Heck, at 5 seconds it's easy to miscalculate and use it way too early.
I don't understand why it has 50% less duration than Palisade or Epocastatis.
