lol yea now that you mention it, the game sounds awful. but that don't stop me from having fun. don't realy want anything that would slow progress to 2.0 anyhow.

How about log off game and play cards w/ family and friends? I'm guilty of it too, but this request seems like there is some self-control issues within the OP. Go to casino irl, watch horse races irl, and bring friends. mfw

We already have an achievement system in place. I got one the other day for defeating, I believe, 6000 enemies. We just don't have a means of viewing them. I believe you get one for every World NM you defeat as well. They just pop up as text on the chat log.

That's the history log viewable through Lodestone. There is going to be one that we'll be able to access in game that I am referring to, which I am hoping won't just be a repeat of what is tracked on Lodestone. If so, then I'll be disappointed.

Luckily, I haven't ran out of content because I am extremely casual player BUT I can see how people would run out of content. My LS has people who have been playing FFXIV full time since the beginning. They have all jobs (even culinarian and fishing) 50 and they really don't have anything to do anymore.
I was actually thinking that once I get my conjurer to 50, I might create another character (just for fun) and play that to 50 on some jobs as well. I know it is a bit of a repeat but I actually like leveling and I like the idea of having two characters to choose from.

the game , although somewhat aged already....is still in its infancy.

not enough to do, take a break, play other games as alot of us do. not one game in existance keeps ppl happy forever, so add some variety and dabble in a few.
take the games for what they are, games, not rl and certainly should not be something you need to live in, in order to be happy with them.
