SE Please add jump and swiming

I guess the reason I see it as weird is because I imagine FFXIV to be grounded in a sense of realism. When I do entertain the notion of high jumping acrobatics and suchlike, I think it would change the fabric of the game in a way which isn't flattering. And it's not just me being afraid to see the game change from what im used to, it's me not really seeing Wuxia combat mesh well with the world of FFXIV.

I will FOREVER think people who do not what to see jump for A) because they are scared to see others jump or B) thinks a game where we beat 30 story tall dragons with our bare hands is grounded in realism are really really silly.

Its more then sad....

It was not uncalled for its true. I did not say anything hurtful. It a really stupid reason to not want jump.

The fact that people are saying jump will ruin this game is nothing short of amazing....... so sad.

I don't want to see ppl spaming jump on towns or even worst on pt.

Lol what? A Jump-toggle?

What would the point of adding a jump then if you can toggle it...I don't get why people insist that adding the abbility to jump will do anything for the game. I don't want jump added to the game and that's it, I think it looks rediculous when people spam-jump in anything. MMO or not it just looks idiotic.

We wont see anything like this until 2.0 anyways because any actual use of a jump feature would be pointless due to massive client lag.

I hate games where people hop around like frogs everywhere they go. It's annoying and breaks immersion for me.
I would love to have swimming + swimming content.

Edit: Didn't think of that... "jump+ PVP" .. Why ruin a good thing? D:
I would like to do PVP. If people hop all over the place.. forget it.

Sadly, i understand what you mean,you guys just need to play Vindictus Online and you will see...

Returning to the thread,i don't know why some players say that the jump & swiming idea comes from other MMORGPS.
Uhm? Hello? Final Fantasy 10? that game had both? oh and yes, Final Fantasy 13 too(only jumping i think, i didnt played that trash).

I'm down if the add jumping system only if they use it to jump cliffs and such,and i'm down for the swiming system too if there's some new content in the FAAAR future.

With jump, they could make zones more interesting rather than overly flat. As long as they don't make it a Super Mario map.
