I missed that out in the patchnotes totally, tought of a graphics bug at first.
with all that change around, why the heck they don´t make ´em customizable in the menues at first place.
I'm getting used to the new appearance of action indicators for area of effect attacks but I liked the way they were displayed before much better.
I played my first 'main content' yesterday and do find the new telegraphs significantly more difficult to see in busy situations and absolutely impossible on certain textures (like in Diadem). In fact, on many occasions I was hit by a move because I just couldn't see the markers at all, they were too faint & thin.
I wonder if higher resolution players have more of an issue.
For most content the new telegraphs are not to bad though they do take a little getting used to. As for feedback for fights the new telegraphs are extremely hard to see when there is a huge amount of red present either the floor is red or the is a red tint to the battle arena. The best example of this would be the meteor phase on the new Thoradin (sp?) EX fight. With the reddish floor/tint of the battle arena they are extremely hard to see. I got somewhat used to them for that fight but even now I still mess up from time to time at that part of the fight because I can't tell what exactly is going on. The new EX fight is the most glaring example that I have experienced. As for the other example the new telegraphs are harder to see in Alexander savage 1-4 thought no where as bad as my Thoradin example its more of a annoyance there. I probably will get used to the new telegraphs in time but it would be amazing to have an option to switch between the old and new ones.
Also more of a question just how do the new AoE telegraphs more accurately display the range of attack? I thought the old ones did an excellent job. I mean it was just basically a bright circle that meant don't stand in me if you do you will get hurt/die I mean how can you improve more then that? I really do not understand what you mean about it shows range of attack more accurately other then the change in color/transparency they seem to be exactly the same size as before and act the same way so forgive me for being a little baffled as to why the change was needed in the first place. I mean as it has been mentioned in this thread people that are color blind could have a hell of time with this change. I hope the devs can put in a toggle between old and new, I mean they should still have the assets to the old telegraphs so it would just be simple or at least possible to add in a toggle of some sort.
I like the new AOE graphic, the previous was too exaggerated. It is difficult to see if there are a lot of people and a lot of graphics effects displaying, like in S ranks NM in the open field maps or the Diadem, but everything seems crazy when there is a lot of people fighting in the same place anyways, whatever the AOE graphic is.
I prefer the new indicators. It's so much easier to see stacked aoes. Everything else seems the same. Player effects making it hard to see is just as prevalent as it was before.
The new telegraphs do more accurately display the range of an attack, and that's nice... but they're much harder to see on floors with a lot of yellow or orange in them. The old telegraphs were "thick" enough to contrast with the floor, at least enough that you could see where they were.
I've noticed this most in Pharos Sirius HM when crystals are falling from the ceiling and you're standing on one of those crystal ramps. The ramps and the telegraph are exactly the same color. Took me a little while to figure out why I was getting bonked on the head.
Honestly no single color is likely to be the answer here. The telegraphs should change color with the environment they're being projected on to so they can always be visible.
