Friend of mine i started the game with was beating beating turn 1-5 before patch 2.1, when we got back to the game i asked is he going to do the turn 6-9 he said probably not, because at the moment it's not worth the stress of trying to find a group again due to hunts and other means of side grade gear, he is a very good player, he choose NOT to bother coil. quite a shock knowing people REALLY DON'T think somethings are worth the effort, eh?

So sands/oil are the only thing that drops from Coil and high allagan gear (shady internet sources say also ilvl110) is not a thing. Okay, sure, absolutely -no- reason to do Coil for i110 gear as opposed to Hunts because Sands/Oils are the only thing that come out of Coil and it has lockouts/requires more effort. Got it. Spot on.

You would get 2 sands weekly (ST will also drop sands soon)
Best would be for 2000 soldiery. 1 sand weekly from ST and 1 sand monthly from soldiery.

Well it wasn't an excellent point, but by that being YOUR opinion, you try to "counter" me with one of your own? by playing the opinion card your self.

Because it's worth stating again; you can already get Soldiery from Hunts. It is highly unlikely they will remove Sands as a purchasable item. I see no logical reason why not allow it to be buyable with Soldiery.

If done, people can, if they choose to, run dungeons again instead of going against, or being a part of, the horde. Dungeon queues come back down, and the forums find a new "FFXIV is ruined forever!" topic.

My point is why do you care what gear you have when you don't even attempt the only challenging content LOL.

And yes I'm better than you because I've cleared all content, it's okay... It's not the end of the world, it's a videogame.
