If I sign up for one company, but other members of my ls sign up for other companies, are we stuck to do missions only with loyal members? I'd hate to be the only Gridanian backing the twin adders...

And its also not Worldwide release FFXI that is and it was only with Japan thus the Negativity wasnt as bad..

Then again, they had to pay to play during that time and they had to pay for the expansion as well.

That was another reason the launch failed, because everyone got thier complaints heard, atleast if they released it in Japan first they could hopefully keep enough interest to fix it, to get better press in the other regions, then it wouldnt be as bad a failure.

And why cant you and Seirra_Lanzce be on Mysidia? would be so cool to play with you guys

Thing that has me a little worried about Grand Companies is that Yoshi never lists FFXI in his list of games he has played, which is fine, but I guess I am personally hoping to see more FFXI-esque or -inspired content (e.g., Assault, Salvage, Nyzul). I am afraid, given his experiences, he might go more the WoW, Rift, that-type-of-mmo route for content. You could argue, "Well some content is better than no content (which is the current case)". And you would be right, but I don't want any content, I want good content. To me the latter isn't good. I rather wait longer for something inspired then churned out go-fetch quests with over-powered rewards (reminds me of when I did first Burning Crusades quests and the armor was 20xs stronger then the stuff I had).

Anyway, those are my concerns, I hope my instincts are wrong and they end up creating an awesome new system.

My only question is why they would have Grand Company Seals not listed under the currency tab?? But that's a minor trifle. Overall the whole endeavor looks quite promising.

What if they're moving guildmarks to the attributes section? A currency shuffle would be interesting. Beat coins into currency tab perhaps? But I'm just speculating.

Either that, or they want to make the grandcompanies have their own section to expand in.
