Yup, I see it as well, as Tank, I end up being the one to SS and Protect the group. It seems that lots of Healers get into the easy mode.. and that's not only from Brayflox, it's every trials and dungeons.. some will just not BUFF.

As for the part where you are partially to blame - Communication is key. Never assume. While opening the last door, if a Melee DPS is with us, I'll ask him to LB the Big bomb, or better.. the boss so he won't even have the time to put it in the first place. If no Melee, I tell the SMN/BLM (BRD? lol hehehe)

(Heya [insert first name] we'll leave the LB to you for the big bomb or Boss. We'll trust your judgment ^^) <-- simple.

I hate speedruns; so if you see me with you, prepare for it or.. get that 30 min penalty. I'm here to play a game, I can wait one more week to get my stuff, enjoying the moment, with friends, or making news ones through DF! <-- how is that even possible?

I tried this. The only time you can hit him is right before he gets to the edge. Once he is on the outside circle, he's invincible until he come back. I happened to have a F3 proc after the LB hadn't killed him and got it in the nick of time. Reversely, I missed him in another run by a millisecond and my hit didn't damage him as he already started to road rage.

Had this happen Monday night. Got the LB off, and it looked like it was dead. Did his transition to bombs and then super bomb. As soon as he was able to be hit, he died to someones auto attack.

That's a horrible attitude to have. It's along the lines of entitlement if you feel that others should do the moving for you (when it clearly has zero detriment on your part). At least on a tanks part, there could be exceptions. Such as the boss/mob beginning the AoE before it can be positioned correctly, etc.

I had my first experience in this dungeon last night and sadly not with my FC. Thankfully the players I got in duty roulette explained everything, yet they ran all around. I was nervous as hell, firstly because I play a dragoon, second I am completely new to game. It was fun. From what I have read here, my experience was quite different on last boss. I was actually told to LB the bomb, not the boss. So as soon as that huge bomb appeared I did and then we killed the guy and everyone went home happy.

But it is the dps and healers job to stand in the right place. The tank shouldn't need to point the boss away from the group, so much as he should point the boss away from where the group is supposed to be. If you decide to stand on the tank and die, that's your own damn fault, not his.

People who do speedruns in DF are stupid, but tanks who don't realize that mob positioning is entirely their department aren't a whole lot better.
