That's not correct.
They even updated the tooltip from:

"Reduces all enemy elemental resistance by 10%. ..."
To:
"Reduces all enemy magic resistance by 10%. ..."

When I'm on bard I check MP bars constantly and put up ballad when the healers are low. I will always put up songs when asked, but I will admit that I hate when I'm doing 8 mans and the reason a whm needs ballad is because they insisted they could solo heal and told the other healer to dps. Obviously you actually can't solo heal, because you're out of MP. Let the other healer help so that your MP drain is shared.

Some solo healing strats require Ballad due to the massive amount of singular outgoing heals. o_o

I use Mage's Ballad when needed.
Problem with Foe requiem= instant agro of all enemies, lol
And i have had this happen to me a few times so do not bother with it anymore.
Mind you i do play more as blm now :D

Never had a problem singing songs and doing lots of DPS. Just gotta learn how to manage songs and DPS is all.

I actually clicked this topic originally expecting to see a suggestion that bards should have macros with lyrics shouted when playing a song. Heh.


Otherwise, yay support! I'm a big fan of high utility, myself.

It was a CT run, though. If it was something where you can do custom party makeups, sure, but CT forces you to have two healers in your party, so why solo heal if you don't have to? The only part of CT where you can always put at least one healer on CS is Atomos.

Problem is bard don't wanna wait for the animation and in this game its all about moving.

I would say make the songs just a click buff for said amount of seconds that buffs team automatically that way no animation and would promote them to use it more often than they have been.

Reminds me of this dude complaining on titan HM songs songs and bard plays and gets smacked off the side.

Not sure what the range is either but when everyone is spread out and you do get spread out and people moving from being hit kinda hard to play from what Ive seen and usually either monster needs to be dead or you are dead.

Even if it were only elemental resistance, the garuda and ifrit SMN pets deal wind and fire damage, respectively.

I play so much people sometimes tell me to stop playing. HMPH! And yes you will like your next song no matter what it is!
