I noticed I was not getting heals as a tank. Thought maybe healer knows when to heal me.
My HP went really low. I see the healer casting cure but not on me.
Then I realized, he's been healing himself this entire time. -

If they keep using those as part of their normal rotation, (all the deeps!), then the enemies will get resistance rather quickly. -

In other news, landed in Bismarck HM (which really just means Bismarck Normal), as BLM, with an AST and a new SCH.
We managed to wipe on the first try, because the SCH got themselves killed, then the AST, and there was so much salt coming from the AST, I could've sliced up a Lalafell and made some awesome popoto chips.
Quoth this AST: "I only heal when I have to." I suppose that translates to, "I'll leave all the healing to my co-healer, who's new to the fight, continue DPSing even when they die, get myself killed for a lack of heals, and then start raging on my co-healer and calling everyone else in the party names for not being able to heal themselves. Also, forget about casting cards." And that is what a true AST should always do!
Welp, it's great to know I've been playing AST wrong all this time! Spread the news, guys!
EDIT: Aaaand just got out of a Brayflox HM run as BLM, with a WAR, AST, and mentor NIN, in which the AST, once again, never once used Royal Road, gave me a Spire, and generally did nothing but stand around throwing out enough Benefic IIs to run out of MP and necessitate using Luminiferous Aether. This with a WAR who wasn't even doing particularly large pulls. And god forbid that any debuffs should be cleansed.
But no, this still wasn't as bad as the mentor NIN. To start with, the only ninjutsu I ever saw them use throughout the whole run was Doton. WAR still moving in the middle of a pull to the next group? Doton! Large pull? Doton! 3 mobs left? Doton! Boss? YOU GUESSED IT, DOTON! The WAR had to apply all their Storm's Eye debuffs themselves, and I certainly never once saw Dancing Edge up. I suppose Huton, Mutilate and Shadow Fang are all myths as well. As a final topping on the cesspit cake, they kept putting on and taking off Kiss of the Wasp, and had it off the majority of the time.
