Not everyone plays as a phys ranged, a smn, or a monk. Getting told X isn't within range as a melee while trying to attack and run at the same time is not going to grab enough agro. Heck even when I'm on those jobs I tend to not attack while moving cause I know that I'll most likely rip hate off and I'd rather not waste time waiting for random tank I'm running with to recollect crap.

It's always an option to just Sprint, which will make you run faster than the mobs for 20 seconds, so long as you hit it before entering combat, and allow you to AoE run as any job, if anything I find it more awkward to AoE run with jobs that have targeted line or cone AoEs, because you need to be a specific position relative to the pack for it to be effective, two of which are ranged(MCH and BRD), tho I guess SAM has a cone before level 82, and RPR is weirdly mixed with Gluttony, Grim Swathe, Guillotine, Plentiful Harvest, and Enshroud-related actions being targeted lines or cones, which sounds like a lot but still gives you the option to use just Whorl of Death+Scythe actions while running, and absolutely go nuts when you stop, which does sound like a fun way to handle it...

You can't perform most of those unless you have a target selected and even while sprinting you will still get the X is still too far away even if the mob is right next to you. Then a lot of aoe on melee are conal or a straight line. Except for monk where the majority of their aoe isn't conal or linear. Swathe is conal, plentiful harvest is linear and you're not always going to have it proced, guillotine is a cleave in-front of you so not always best to use while running. Even if it works like Drg aoe where it'll hit stuff as long as it's in your hitbox still not worth it imo to be using while running.

Edit: also again what's the point of having the shield or regen if it's not doing their job? Until the tank stops the mobs are probably not hitting me so they're healing nothing and shielding me from nothing. They're not going to give that sage a use of Toxikon. I also know how to shield myself or self sustain hopefully long enough for the tank to regain any hate they might have lost.

So I don't really get thrown into sub level 50 dungeons that much anymore but this one annoyed me a little.

Both DPS + the tank are sprouts, with the tank being the only one getting CS. Tank only pulls one pack at a time, no mitigations, and single targets, but again, this is sub level 50, and the tank is clearly new.

Would I like for things to go faster? Well, yes, but the reason above is good enough for me to be patient. The NIN on the other hand has enough of it after the second boss. No Arms Length, the NIN rushes forward yoinking the second half of the pull W2W and tries to drag it into the boss room. Immediately backs out because while the tank followed and slowly attacked everything one by one to take aggro, the tank refused to enter the boss room.

I know someone will complain about me being an enabler or whatever, but it's a low level dungeon with a brand new sprout that didn't ask for my advice. Don't really want to deal with them getting upset if I give it.

Oh and also did b2b alliance raids roulettes before and after daily reset. Both times were CT and both times we had nearly half the raid immediately quit out at the start. I get that some people hate CT. I'd love to see Nier or SB raids, but seriously don't just abandon half the alliance.

Had one of those Chrysalis again w/ my cohealer friend where we met an unsuspecting DPS who tried to LB3 Nabriales. By 'one of those' I mean, a time when I and my cohealer friend coordinated our Rescue uses to deny said DPS from using LB3 on anything but the Aetherial Tear.

I get it, the tear is fairly easy to burst without LB3. But when shoved the options to pick between trusting pugs to press their buttons correctly for extended time vs letting one of them press 1 sweet LB3? I prefer the latter, thanks. Sorry not sorry.

I ain’t gonna deal with that $h!t. I don’t know what were you thinking, but I’m well prepared for this. Camped on your chain long ago to grab it as soon as yours falls off to attach it myself.

You do know that there are times when the contact point is hard to target, right? Also you kinda sound a little petty. Don't get me wrong I also don't enjoy those who purposely wait til the last second to attach the chain. Course it's fairly obvious when that's what is happening.

Probably I should elaborate clearer next time: what I witnessed was anything but "This is so hard to target!!"-situation. They were jumping around aimlessly -not anywhere in range to interact with the contact point-. If they were trying to target the contact point, logically they would've wandered toward that point & stopping once in a while, not keep jumping (we can't attach it while jumping, yes? lmao).

If that sounded petty, that's because it's a vent, in a vent thread. Everytime I zone into WoD's Cerberus fight I'm always watchful to prevent chain enrage thanks to (relatively) too many times wipes happening 'cause people were holding the chain for whatever reason: I will focus target anybody who has the chain to watch their buff timer and cast bar whenever chain goes out.

This might be a Lamia thing but man are tanks allergic to using role defenses. They all single pull and they all refuse to use role defenses. Yeah im low level doing ARR dungeons but if a 90 tank is dying quickly to a single pull...something is wrong.

3 out of 4 tanks suck.

What's going on Lamia? Well not just Lamia...the data server it is on.

I've noticed it on not just Lamia. You've probably encountered the string of no-mit tanks I've dealt with in the past couple months before I pulled out of solo roulette. And it's not just tanks too. I've noticed healers and dps not using the better parts of their job kits in most dungeons.

I'm curious of they were holding onto the chain for the maximum duration before putting it on. That was a tactic back in the day but with power creep being real they should just attach is asap. No need to try to aim for the maximum duration.

There's nothing worse than watching someone in a level 90 dungeon run through it without using a single defensive. Yes, I can heal through it, but it's very painful.

I think I've run into two tanks in Lapis Manalis that did that.

Finally got Orbonne from AR… after so long… after that many CT raids… ah yes it’s also semi chaotic run & I’m on SGE… thank you, roulette… oh and that first timer who pulled me into the raid.

Totally. I’m aware why people do it, but after my own fair share of wipes from people attempting just that, be it seriously or trolling… (some players do not know the chain only sticks to you for limited time!!)

Nah. Y’know what, just slap the chain ASAP, thanks. I’ll take moving out of bad a bit more & clear vs risking one single ‘pepega moment’ that ends up wiping the entire raid. And what’s common in DF runs? Yep, those ‘pepega moments’, for better or worse.

Just wanted to do my MSQ Roulette. Instead I end up with an Archer and a DRK that won't turn on tank stance. Gave it 5 mins and then just left. Nope, nope, nope.

So today I learned that there is no vuln stack cap in the Tiamat Clone fight. Guy we had encountered a pc crash mid-fight and he hit 17 vuln stacks before I just couldn't sustain him anymore, the damage was just too much.

Wish I took a pic before he died though. I'd thought it would cap at 8-12, not 17.

There should be an achievement title for a person who can survive long enough to collect that many vuln stacks. The healer keeping them alive should earn a separate title, too.

Queued up for Alliance raid, get Aglaia, which I don't mind, because another coin to the collection. MT in A dies to Rhalgr flinging his body over the edge from first knockback, so I take over as MT. SGE in my party decides to use Rescue on me before second Broken World goes off, so naturally, I'm slightly disoriented and confused but run back to the boss because he was casting and didn't follow. After we beat Rhalgr, I say in party chat the Rescue was kind of unnecessary. Their response?

"If you wanted better positioning, it would help to pull it there"

Okay??? I didn't want better positioning, so I respond if the raid was still current content, then yes, giving the DPS better positioning would help, but all the bosses melt now. I can understand Rescue'ing if I'm standing in a orange puddle, but this seemed like a waste of time.

Just had a Sunken Temple of Quarn with a CNJ healer, yeah I was not a happy tank but I was too tired to say anything. I just wanted my single daily run before hitting the hay, dagnabbit!

Regen addict?

I'm pretty sure regen is in the WHM quests, either way they didn't cast it.

If it was a CNJ, that is a WHM without their job stone, they straight up don't have Regen, CNJ stops at 30 with Cure II, and then only Aero II at 46 and Medica II at 50, everything else is unavailable.

Had a Euphrosyne run last night where the tank used LB1 during the Halone intermission. We were all topped up and everything.
Not a word spoken by anyone in that raid the whole time, lol. Think my boy might have misclicked his party mit.

the only difference between cnj and whm on this level is regen spell, but u can do fine even without it on these levels. I think it kinda "too early" to complain about having Conjurer in ur party.

Don't sleep on Regen. Even at that level, it's a little over a 160 potency heal on top of every GCD. If it lasts the whole pull without overheal, that's a 1200 potency heal on a single GCD, which is significant.

on level 50 u can just get tome stones gear and yolo everything with ur medica and cure casts. So I dont think its a problem having conjurer instead of whm in level 50 duty. If healer sleep, they gonna sleep on any class/job.
