Inventory issues still exist. Why keep adding gear to the game and not room? Glam log

Can this thread go back to the actual topic of inventory issues instead of this victimhood and he said she said?
It's really annoying.

Your dyslexia? Personally, you can get as mad as you want over this Princess, but I don't see it as a disability. I don't. I see it as a challenge.

As far as to how abused you are? /shrug.

I think everyone had their own tolerances for being challenged, some people can only take a little or nonebefore they feel threatened or attacked and some people can take a lot. The people who cry about being abused and victimized all the time are usually in the former category.

On topic: I think just about everyone who has posted here would like to see some kind of glamour Log. We just aren't willing to put the entire game on hold until it can be made and implemented. We make due with what we have in the meantime. It isn't pretty or ideal, but short of throwing ourselves on the ground and having a temper tantrum like a 6 year old, it's the best we can do.

You could never treat gear like Orchestron Rolls and add them to a sub menu so you could go to some arbitrary spot that isn't a jukebox and apply them. Because using a jukebox to apply glamors would be weird.

It works absolutely seemlessly in WoW. Their Trasmog and appearance log systems are infinitely better and more fun than what we have in FF14 currently.

It's not 'unpossible' in any sense of the term. Although it would most certainly require a lot of work, time, and effort, to complete.

Actually, you could make it work in the same way the orchestration stuff works. There are currently varying styles of armoires(only one that I know of that is currently able to be interacted with - and store seasonal/achievement gears) that they could do the same thing with for the clothing/armours/weapons(or add a weapon rack housing item...which would be neat, but harder because what if it's got no weapons on it? Will it look empty?).

You tried to say that I was against you asking for improvements, but I am not. Appreciating that the salvager at least exists and helps me some DOES NOT mean I don't want more improvements to it and more options and a glam log and it doesn't mean I am saying you cannot ask for improvements or a glam log.

I'll admit I hoard a lot of gear I would potentially use when playing a class in the future, however 90% of the gear I collect is for cosmetic reasons. FFXIV has so much cool looking gear that I could spend hours messing around with to see what outfits I can create. If we had a log that tracked gear we've acquired and could be used to glamour from then my retainers would very much appreciate the load off their backs.

Seriously Princess you keep talking about how the Calamity Salvager is "nothing" or "pretty much nothing". Well okay. Imagine if the Calamity Salvager was gone like you were told. Maybe even go out and buy every item they hold so you can live life "without" a Salvager. See how long you last.

Or with your 6 retainers filled with glamour you're implying that you are already holding every single item the Salvager can give back to you? In which case your issue would be your fault.

If you're not holding all Calamity Salvager items, you have no right to say it does nothing to help as you clearly have no idea how much space it saves you then.

Saying a system is broken =/= ungrateful. It is like not having food for 3 days and being told to be grateful for a crumb of bread. Yes it is better then nothing but you want more. Temporary fixes is what we should be expected to have in 2.0, not 4.1 At some point you will cross someone's breaking point.

It is a challenge, what I do not like is how people treat me over it (not here, the thread I linked) it was just me making a point I have no plans to post here anymore because of all the mistreatment I get once my voice is heard about not having enough space and it is fixed.

Glam log was "put on hold" since HW, and the "content" we get is just copy and paste, so I do not care anymore for it and like to see it addressed. It is been ignored for too long. Because it has been ingored for too long, I would love to see the game be put on hold for it, heck I would not mind seeing the servers taken down for 2 months + and have them fix all the bugs, the problems with coding, etc so a glam log can be put in the game. We need a reborn reborn to fix all this bad coding 1.0 is trolling us with still. Maybe if they had more efficent coding, they would be able address housing problems better as well. Is FFXIV a situation of trying to fix an engine while its running? For me I feel that way after all this time.

and yet you take the time to not understand what I am saying as well. I use it, it is HARD TO USE with the messy menus. It is confusing, it takes too much time to manage, I do not like it at all. I only use it BECAUSE I HAVE TO! It is also not new player friendly as in they do not know what it saves or what is even there for. It has LOTS of problems and majorly inconvenient.

I'm making it worse? I was talking to other people in this thread about the salvager. YOU initiated this conversation by replying to me about my post towards someone else.

So that is why I said don't reply to me, in order to avoid this because I noticed you either don't pay attention to what I say or you ignore it and it causes these problems, but you ignored my request and continued to reply and no matter how many times I tried to tell you I am on your side about needing glam log and needing improvements for inventory you just kept repeating the same thing and arguing that I must be against improvements just because I appreciate the salvager.

So please do not try to shove all the responsibility onto me and pretend you did nothing at all to fuel this. Don't reply to people if you are afraid of a disagreement or if you are just going to blame them for making it worse for simply replying to your initial contact.

You probably should avoid the forums if you get "up in arms" and this frustrated over different opinions or having a disagreement. My opinions are not harassment. They are just my opinions. Like I said you kept saying "you think like this" and I kept saying "no I don't think like that; I actually think like this" and explained.

No one can "force" their opinions on anyone else. You can simply not listen and/or stop replying.

Though to be fair, this is how a lot of frequent posters respond when their issues are presented with counterpoints. It's probably best to let this thread drop since it's no longer a productive conversation. To make this relevant to the topic...inventory issues suck, but proper inventory management is a necessary skill for games like this. Even the games that do it right don't expect you to hold onto everything. I do my crafting in big chunks cause I don't like keeping mats on my retainers so I sell off the overflow on top of the finished products.

I think she lacks the ability to see the world from outside of her own viewpoint, even if those views are shown/explained to her. Many people can't do it, it is not meant as an insult.

Sadly, people like that cannot accept contrarian data into their world view, they lack the tools to dissect it, analyze it and use it to challenge their own views. They cannot accept challenges to their world view either, they are right simply because they feel they are right and that is all that is needed. All other data points must be rejected and destroyed.

Anyway, +1 for some type of glamour log. I do hoard some gear because, we all know glamour is the true endgame! XD

I'd love to put more things in the Armoire or even have them on the Salvager. I hate buying glams (NPC glams from store) and not having a place to put them except my retainers. They're ilvl 1 whites for pete's sake. @_@

Even if they only start out with all the gear that is purchased via tomestones. Its at least a start.

If this is true then it almost does not exist anymore. Not many things have been added that are worth glamouring.
Be it for Crafters, Dungeons, Raids or the Cash-Shop. At least in my Opinion.

Wish the designer dev types at SE would have gotten that memo. This latest batch of glamour recipes look like low level hempen/cotton gear. Not exactly something I would pay millions of gil for (not that that's stopping anyone from attempting to sell it for that much).

I am tried of this nonsense, I am tired of not being understood and debating semantics. All I want is inventory issues being addressed because it is pretty broken at this point, and SE done little to address it since 2.0. The SB update should have been given us in HW. The savager should not exist and be a glam log. temp fixes in 2.0 is fine, this is 4.1, we should not be working of temp fixes anymore
