I'm not blaming them for that at all, but I will do my part by not dressing to the point of what our society would consider sexual. There are people who would go to the other extreme and ask me why I don't go cover myself from head to toe. There is a big difference between a pretty outfit and one that in our society, is meant to iilicit sexual attraction. Now, I will admit that a little bit of generation gap comes into play here, because what that is exactly does change over time.

Going back to my taking responsibility statement, yes I can blame them, the same way I hold most media responsible for their part. I had respect for SE for not going too far into this area. At the same time, they couldn't sell it if there wasn't a market for it. Everyone is responsible for their own part in things. A mature adult does understand that what a person does, does affect other people, whether it be in a negative way, or a positive one.



I never said anything about a one-piece, although I do appreciate a pretty one. That girl's pixelated boobs are about to fall out of that bikini. Between that, and the pose in the coatee and hose, if you don't think SE isn't pushing sexualization... I actually really don't want to burst your bubble. :) If fun was the only idea behind it, they could have advertised some different alternate swimsuits at the very least. I more than agree there is a difference between dressing slutty and dressing pretty. But this is not one of them. I do very much like to dress attractive. Waist fitting dresses with flowing skirts are my favorite. Obviously that wouldn't work for the beach. :) But offering a bikini that actually looks like it will hold you in properly, I think isn't too much to ask.

As for moral boost, if a woman really feel the need to dress slutty, (meaning in a way that attracts the sexual type attention of others), I would think there might be other problems at work that really have nothing to do with it. Ones that won't be solved by dressing that way.

It's exactly why I won't be participating. :) I don't play lalafalla, and SE isn't offering any other alternatives. I'm very childishly immature about a great many things, but I am very serious in the areas that matter. I take this matter seriously, because it is screwing up our society.

I just respectfully disagree in general. I believe that many mistakes in life can be avoided, but they require maintenance and care, like anything worthwhile. It's really difficult to maintain things all by yourself. It's much better if you have a society and support network that helps you out. Many kids out there these days do not have that.

one thing shes said here that you cannot seriously dissagree with is... the female characters titties are just about to fall out the bottom of that top.. one simple "Jump" and its game over for boob coverage. Yes women wear bikinis but this one is pretty skimpy in the boob area. How may cchicks at the beach do you see with the bottom of their titts showing? I'm not sayign I dont like to see myself some titties though :p. I'm just saying shes not far off, these bikini tops are very skimpy compared to what you see at the beach and or the public pool. Again, just because YOU have dirty thoughts, doesn't mean everyone else does. And the top isn't 'dirty'. Just because the cups are held together above the cleavage rather than below doesn't change much. It's hardly showing any more than a normal bikini top would.

Plus, this is a game. The characters don't have to worry about their tits falling out, unless they are programmed to do so.

IMO, and I'm not saying this for perverted reasons, women should be aloud to go topless just as men are. We all have breasts, just because women have fat on theirs doesn't mean they are much different or should be some form of taboo. Plus, a lot of women don't even need the support of a bra and would love to feel free like men can.

This post contradicts with itself all the time.
I don't "feel" dirty because my character looks "dirty" (by your definition), I like what I see and I find it fun.
What I don't understand is at what point this whole thing is supposed to be "wrong" and by who's standrads?
I don't find it wrong and thats the end of it.

If you find it wrong or offensive go quit, stop spoiling other people's fun cause you can't accept that things cannot always go your way in life.

You don't know how many hot summers I've wished it was socially acceptable to go walking around topless like men are "allowed to." Where I live I'm legally allowed to.. but the one reason I don't is because of the stares, comments, and likely harassment I'll get.
I wish female breasts weren't made out to be some sexual playtoy. I wish we women had equality.

1) They are not naked.
2) Most of the images I posted from past FFs show the females closer to nude than these bikinis do.
3) In your mind, none of these 'perverts' in XIV played the previous FF titles, which have been proven multiple times by myself and others to have skimpier clothing. This is drawn from the fact that you don't seem to have any problems whatsoever with past FF games.

i don't think that's true... the #1 reason i put down wow when i bought it is cuz none of the female charaters were pretty.. i want my alter ego 2 b a cooler prettier version of me... not saying im ugly but im def not as cute as my avatar :D and i think its really fun to accessorize. as long as i have the option to dress.. whats the word.. conservativly, i'm happy :)
