Anyone else notice that he is getting 1/44 Crit for melding a piece of materia that gives +2 crit?

maybe you need 1 alex for grade 1 materia, 2 alex for g2, 3 alex for g3 etc. and the stats scale on the materia grade
Could someone who is working on Thyrus Novus screencap Piety cap for me? Thank you. (Also Determination please)
Was there any indication on which fates you can get the alexandrite from? I can't remember seeing anything.
By the look of it, it asked for a specific materia and alex... pretty hard to mess that up. The way you can mess it up is picking a secondary stat you end up learning you didnt want or you gimped yourself.
What I want to know, do you have to have a crafter or you just hit ok and roll the dice?
Now I'm glad I still have 2 more books to finish. Despite having a choice of stats, everyone knows there will end up being a "best" stat set up for each weapon and the first players are going to be the guinea pigs. This may be the longest step for me since I don't plan on blowing my gil on overpriced materia. That's a lot of materia plus getting alexandrite.
Well, there -is- an infusion successrate...
I'm guessing the more materia you put in there, the higher the tier of it needs to be to keep a reasonable successrate :/
Where do you get the ink from? Standard myth merchant in mor dhona?
Anyone get alexandrite from a fate yet?
Well I guess it'll take time and theorycraft...but I would like some clarification:
The Gae Bolg Animus in the patch notes screen has ACC+40 and CRIT+28.
After using the Sphere Scroll it has SKS+31 and CRIT+44
That means he lost his ACC? or do they add up?
I don't think the resulting weapon would have ACC+40 and CRIT+28 as base bonuses plus "additional bonus" of SKS+31 and CRIT+44
it loses everything and you have to meld every single point of 2 stats of your choice into it
Crit on Omnilex, here I come. I already have a buttload of det and crit materia. I don't have tons of level 4's though...so hopefully that's not required or else I may end up SBing during dungeons, because the main SBing spot will likely be spammed or taken over by bots.
are the maps soloable?
First one I did was a golem and it had 2 sets of bomb adds too, 2 flares on each made short work of them, but the golem itself hit relaitively hard, had to do pause attacking to heal up a couple of times. But I jut did another and it was 2 'slipjaw ogres' and it was really not hard. lots of aoes to get out of.
Any news on whether you can get alexandrite from any fates? Or if just happens to be the same places as atma. Nothing indicates it would be, but I thought I'd check.
I lost my 2 maps today..... 1st one went BLM and was a Morbol that Bind you for 30s then Breath II you where u can pretty much do nothing for 30s and he repeat that over and over and u have no chance has a BLM (So this fight would have been SMN to go)...
2nd Map i went SMN and it was a cyclone mob, which was ok till he pop 6-10 adds every 15s.. where smn cant keep up with enough AOE dps to kill adds fast enough for re-spawn and keep yourself and pet alive.
I feel like i wast a whole day for nothing :/
So I got one Alexandrite and haven't even bought a Materia lol 350k. Anyways I seen someone saying something about tier 1 materias, Do you need to buy 75 materias 31/44 tier 1's or do you need materia that equals out to 31/44? I assume you just need to buy materia to equal 31/44, Because 75+ Alexandrite would be crazy to get.
I can confirm that you can do it with 2 or more people. BUT only the one who opened get the alexandrite.
Does anyone know what the customizable stat spread is for Curtana and Holy Shield? 65/10 or something maybe?
so i am reading the Novus weapon section in the patch notes. and notice for the melee weapon, the Gae Bolg, they replace accuracy for skill speed. and also happen to read that for the Thyrus Animus and Omnilex Animus the accuracy will NOT replaced. now this seems kind of confusing for me. and though i suppose it depends on your other gear if the ACC is worth-while trade-off for Skill Speed. but i have always been under the impression Accuracy is more important for melee then casters. yes more scrolls will be ready at a later date. but +40 ACC is a lot to lose it seems to me.
or am i missing something?
Ok has anyone put a materia onto the scroll yet? I bought some Tier 3 Crit and I can't infuse even one. Do I need to infuse a Tier 1 and 2 first? or do I need to have more Alexandrite?
Healers will keep their accuracy because, for them, it's a bonus stat that helps to stop them missing hopelessly often, rather than being an important stat to max for jobs that expect to reliably hit things every time, I'd think.
As for losing it on your weapon - it depends on the cap for what you're doing and the rest of your gear. It's important to have enough that you don't miss, but a waste to have any more than that.
If you don't fail any mend....for what I've been reading % success is not always 100% (I'm gonna guess, closest you are to 75 melds less % success).
So, probably "at least" 75 alexandrite.
right no doubt. it's just strange for me. because my main is WHM. and i have never once noticed an attack miss. not even at low levels. though i have noticed at lower level any physical user had accuracy issues. heck this is FF, i did not think magic could even be evaded. or was that blocked? it's one or the other. :/ ah well. if you don't need the accuracy, there isn't much to talk about :D anyhow thank you for the response. :)
Found some info on Reddit.... but I guess people haven't had the time to get more than a few Alex to check. But to me it seems like we will need 75+ Alex to get it done, Unless higher Tiers will give you more than one point per materia. If we do only get 1 point per meld then down the road SE needs to tie relics to end game and make them top tier. Because this is a huge grind.
