The people on these forums make my head hurt. First, don't talk about how speed runs aren't challenging when you haven't done them. "I'd consider the dungeons challenging if they're actually hard to get through" you haven't even completed av or cc let alone done speed runs on them yet you will sit on here and bitch about them like you know what you are talking about. "My Job of Monk is automatically left out of the Speed Runs, it's simply not fast enough." so speed runs are bad cause you are forced into playing specific jobs(not really true) yet at the same time you only play one job lol?? You should spend less time making qq post about stuff you don't know about and more time actually playing the game.
Although I don't really enjoy speed runs, it's also true that longer and more difficult dungeons will result in a much longer time to get a certain drop or reward.
Yessss, my baldy Highlander friend! I'm an Explorer and Craftsman, only have one Level 50 Job as a Disciple of War and I'm proud of it. I like my Monk and have fun with it. :)
Monk is left out of the Speed Runs concept and I'm /happy of that.
This, however, doesn't mean that I never got into an Aurum Vale or Cutter's Cry party: actually, I've been in several and reached both the final Bosses, and my judgement on the Speed Runs is based on those very experiences, of which I talked both in my blog and in the Topic in my signature.
No need to further repeat myself, the point should be clear in the first post and it's a moment of Joy.
I'll wait for the first informations on the new instanced raids. Do your best, Yoshi-P and team!
I have to say that the reliance on the speed run mechanic for obtaining gear is one of the worst things plaguing this game atm. Sure, keep it for the sake of an achievement, but it shouldn't be more than that, an achievement.
A speedrun don't increase the dungeon difficulty. It increase the timer difficulty.
I like speed runs...
I agree 100% with you Cloudio! I am happy to see we won't be rushing in the future and will have time to explore effectively!
Just because a player doesn't have the win and the accompanying lodestone achievement doesn't mean they haven't tried to get it. This argument is pretty baseless. I've been through CC hundreds, of times by now, and have not got the speed run win, yet I am very familiar with the mechanic. I can say without a doubt that the forced speed run mechanic causes more stress than is necessary, which is exactly why it shouldn't be forced upon us.
