You clearly haven't been following the progress of the game and read interviews with yoshida. The current game is in no way trying to attract new players, it is appeasing its current base. They don't want new people joining now and losing interest in 2.0 before it launches. I don't have the quote, but yoshida has flat out said that he is putting the current population as their first priority in terms of 1.0.

I know I don't want my experience with the end of 1.0 tarnished because of some people didn't care enough to stick with the game. Coming to party late shouldn't get you any special consideration.

Altho your right & i agree with out
Fact is any game that you need certain stratages for each & every fight & certain classes or weapons for each & every fight, also games that make instances on current stats then nerf them afterwards are games not worth playing unless your a hardcore gamer which is at most 5~10% of players on here. ( i know alot more claim there great but they are great b/s'ers not players, just because you bet garuda once with blm bug doesnt mean its easy to beat her)
games where you can go in & die or go in & win are worth playing also games where you can play any class are also worth playing. atm this is not this game & as the same team is in charge of 2.0 that means 2.0 is going to be the same.

Yoshi get your head out of your A** you can do it right if you try. also fun thought out instances are better than b/s ones.

If you're the 1 BLM taking out all the Meteors alone up top, it's actually kind of boring and uneventful. :( However, staring at Dalamund in P2 never got old.

Oh. Didn't take very long for one of these threads to pop up. All I can say is... Lol.

which is true. The ifrit fight is flawed because some people can't dodge cracks regardless. Personally I'm on the threshold.

SE designs fights with the idea that there is no server lag. Implements them, and then finds out a large percentage of people can't do them because of -server- issues, not difficulty issues.

Even this new fight has some serious server issues with AOEs, the beam attack, etc.

Get one person in your party who gets that lag and it can cause you to lose easily. Get 2 or 3 and you stand no chance.

It is not hard... got him to 50% in stage 2 on my groups very first try... we didn't look up anything about it because we wanted to be surprised. 2nd time we have learnt a few new little things about the combat and got him to 40%

It's so fun too!

The battle is extremely hard.

Spamming enter on the NPC for 30 mins straight and seeing that the server was congested really defeated my party today.

Maybe the fight won't be so hard tomorrow.

For one, the fights not THAT hard. And for two, why would anyone complain about this? Final Boss fights are supposed to be hard! Especially in Final Fantasy games. Compared to Barthandelus, this guys a chump.

Some people are used to using gamesharks or cheatcodes to get through bosses just to enjoy the story.
