Without any proof we can't know if OP is lying or not. Maybe he was late, house got demo'd. Made a story to complain that makes him look like an innocent victim. We just don't know. And given most people's houses don't just disappear. You would have to bring compelling evidence to convince the skeptics here so I don't see that happening.
Sorry you lost your house though, I lost a medium once. It sucks.
An account can own multiple houses but not on same server/world.
I own multiple houses and was not grandfathered on that account. It's one personal house per server, unless that rule changed during my break between 6.1 until a month ago.
So, for example.
Let's say I have a character on World 1 and have a personal house
Then let's say I have another character on World 2, I can have a personal house cause it's not on the same world/server.
But I wouldn't be able to have 2 personal houses on 2 different characters on World 1 or 2 in this example.
AFAIK there isn't a limitation placed where you can only own 1 personal house per account and world.
A final note on grandfathered, then you could own multiple houses on same character, which hasn't been possible for a very long time.
Yall people have homes?
Putting on my programmer hat for a second. Question for others who have experienced this. Is it always on a shared house? Maybe that's the pattern. Anytime I've ever had to reset my trigger when it was up for demo I just had to walk in. I've had my house since before prices were equalized across all servers so it's been a lot of years. I can't even remember when they did that. But I have never shared it with anyone and have never had to interact with anything.
Of my friend group, we all have houses. We all have them shared with each other, and no one has lost a house to this "bug." I've only ever seen the demo timer once, when I had to take a break from the game due to an extended vacation out of the country with no access to the game.
Forum: Technical Support > Technical Support is not for general bug reporting. It's specifically for problems like the game not accepting keyboard input, network issues, game crashing. Stuff like that. General bug reporting goes in Forum: Bug Reports > In-Game Bugs Each forum has a Sticky: Welcome to the "FORUM NAME" Forum! thread that tells you what the forum is for. Always read the Welcome sticky before posting to a new forum.
The bug report forum also includes templates that they want you to follow. If you don't follow those templates, they'll move your thread to Forum: Bug Reports > Insufficient Information and ignore it. They still might move it to Insufficient Information even if you do use the template, if they don't think you gave enough detail to reproduce the issue. If you gave them all the information they wanted but they still can't reproduce the issue then your thread goes to Forum: Bug Reports > Unable to Verify. Given that this issue isn't easily reproduced by players, giving them enough information to avoid Insufficient Information and Unable to Verify is going to be tough.
