I have tanked as a Samurai with the pure essence, this is the best thing of the raid honestly. You are not hopeless if you don't have healers, it makes some runs slower though but all quite doable

It's almost like the Lost Action system was designed that regardless of party comp, any role can take up the duties of another role, and was a part of the core design of the instance talked about by Yoshi-P before Delubrum even launched...
If you're not interested in filling the gaps using the system designed to make roles but a mere suggestion and neither is anyone in your party, that's on your party. I've tanked Delubrums as a MNK & Healed them as a WAR based on my party luck. You can also switch people around in parties in the instance, you're not locked to the initial 8 you get. Could have also just easily asked in shout chat "does any group have a spare healer? we have 8 dps."
It isn't garbage; between reforming parties and giving you tons of OP actions that let any job easily heal a party regardless of their role; that's laziness to not use them.
This is kind of a reason why I wish raids in this game had trash mobs, and the ones that do have trash would use them appropriately to teach what is coming, you could do neat things like have the trash use a smaller version of the upcoming boss' mechanics so you know what to look for when you get to the boss, and it would probably help a lot.
Hit 3 times = instant unavoidable death is a mechanism I expect in Extreme, not a normal dungeon.
That’s actively punishing people for being new and it’s an awful way to learn.
it's not a normal dungeon, though
I’d say UCOB/TEA are best follows by a8s when it was first released. DR is kinda meh with meh mechanics. That’s as far as best “Raids” released. Also when they’re first released being key IMO. Min ilvl plus no echo doesn’t capture what they were on release
its actually pretty good thing. your dead means mostly nothing and you will learn . there are kinda same mechanics from past duties so its not like these werent in game before, they are just little upgraded o/
I mean, we also get those “Haha why dodge aoe isn’t danger, not gonna kill. Vuln stack is fine. Healer will heals”-players. These are the ones that are unlikely to learn with or without doom mechanic. That evens out everything, don’t you think so?
Fun aside; I kid you not, I get a feeling like devs are adding these mechanics because they do not fancy players ignoring mechanics by straight up eating damage with sheer amount of defenses/shields.
i have maxed all jobs but it doesnt mean im midcore or hardcore. im proud casual and this content is really casual friendly. its just about learning . thing you will run it i more then 10 times means, you will learn it . if you dont know , just follow others, ask in chat how to dodge this and that etc. its not designed to be done once and do POTD for other pieces. i wish they would nerf Eureka :D but thats another thing. this Bozja is good , balanced idk. i hate fates in Bozja but those 3 big battles are great. and if you managed to beat Shadowbringers, it shouldnt be such problem to clear those. also use essences or other defensive/healing actions if you dont feel youre able to make it. like i said some post above , diyng isnt something you should be ashamed of , it happens o/ i also see many crown people on the floor :D
well obey is something i always dont know where to stay and always writing it chat very negative words about it :D but its really managable for casuals
It's actually get hit twice and die which is worse.
To make matters even worse than that? The 2 hit instant deaths completely negate the HP valor bonus you can acquire. What's the point of more HP if it goes from 100 to zero in an instant?
Same to a lesser degree the healing one. Can't heal someone when they go from 100 to zero.
