It's the best Alliance raid so far. All the rest are boring now.

To be precise, all roulettes can be fun if one is lucky enough to end up with nice people in a random instance. The alliance thing itself just suffers a lot under being way too often the LV50 content - and the fact, that many players have zero idea how mechanics in any 24-people-instance work, doesn't help for the later raids.
Speeeaaaking about it:
Orbonne used to be my absolute favorite alliance-instance in 4.5 - especially when everybody got the hang of it. The runs were smooth and nobody rage-quitted.
But guess what happened when 5.0 came in. Suddenly, there were waves of people who had never done the Ivalice-raids before - because they were either returners who hadn't played for a long time or were entirely new players. And said people are the reason why clearing Orbonne turned out to be almost impossible (usual place to give up: Cidolfus) before SE permanently activated Echo for the instance.
That being said, I can still enjoy an Orbonne-run (even after said disaster in last summer) -- when people prove to me, that they either know the raid or are at least capable of understanding mechanics, that is.
A) If you haven't cleared the Ivalice-raids,you have no access to the new relics.
B) Orbonne got, as I mentioned in my former comment, permanent Echo to make up for the 'difficulty'. And Technole has given you that point to explain why the instance is running smoother in the last weeks.
Honestly, I don't really understand why Cinderella was so hard for groups. He literally telegraphs all his moves.
Upcoming, as in, not now? I am talking about the point in wanting to do it in the roulette right now. Better off taking the 30 minute penalty - much better use of time.
I wouldn't know. I haven't done Orbonne since. I can't remember.
 EDIT: I still think eating the penalty isn't immediately necessary. See the first boss a ka how the alliance performs and then consider leaving--- before that point, it isn't fair to instantly abandon the groups.
When entering Orbonne, the Echo-icon is on even before players are allowed to move around. So, when the roulette throws Ivalice-part-3 at a player, it should be the first thing to notice for everyone who did the instance 'the old way'.
