To me that's the best news I could have hoped for. I may give it a go depending on what the reward for completion is. If it's a title or whatever then I'll get my weapon, leave and probably never come back. Eureka should have died with Pagos.

Considering what was said in the interview, people that hate Eureka shouldn't bother even going near it.
It feels like everything annoying about Eureka in one. It's balanced on Logos Actions (You have to make these every time you zone in if you used them in the last zone since they are consumable) and a repeatable attunement/entry requirement which means every time you wipe out you have to attune again.
So basically EM (from Diadem 2) 2.0 with more time sinks.
I don't think I ever got to do the first EM, map was either dead when it spawned or it never spawned.
So essentially you just don't want to grind. Welcome to JRPGs and MMOs.
You don't need to use logo's in Pyros other than to make them once so that you can have 30/50 for the weapon and 50/50 to unlock relic armor. For those who want to use logo's they do need to make them upon entry for use during that session but those are a bonus to playing there and aren't needed to progress. I have no clue what you mean by a repeatable attunement entry. If you're talking about the aethers they are attuned to once when you reach the appropriate levels of 37, 39 and 41.
Sorry you didn't enjoy Eureka but there are many who do. The instanced dungeon should be interesting and many of us are looking forward to it.
Did you actually read the article?
They said you need the "right," which means there is an attunement or entry requirement. An "attunement" in MMO context means there is a requirement to get in. So an example would be needing to clear normals to get into savage. Not a really hard one but you get the idea. You don't just stroll up to the entrance and go in, no. Every time you die you have to get it again. So anyone who hates deleveling or values their time will most likely hate it. Unless the interview is translated wrong.
And I don't actually hate Eureka, I'm just saying if you hate Eureka you aren't going to like how this is designed based on what they said. Way to assume.Quote:
4gamer: Why did you suddenly become silent there? (laughs) I hope someone can raise me when i'm kicked out. So it comes down to, a wipe = gameover?
Yoshida: Yes, you will need to gain the "right" again before you try again. It's clearly not somewhere casual players would want to go. I'm sure there are players who are fine with taking time to take it down and slowly progressing, but __it's a raid and you have a high chance of receiving a death penalty. Which makes players really anxious, so i really advise players not to force themselves to do it.
Since they balanced this around logos, you need them to make the fight easier, and since they are consumable, you will have to craft them many times so it's sort of like potions in actual raids.
I mean if you're dying constantly, and they make it easier, you're probably going to be making them a bunch of times is what I mean. Do you "NEED" them on everyone to beat it? Maybe not. But some of the people in there having them will sure make it easier according to this.Quote:
4gamer: If the amount of players who can enter is limited, it seems like Logos actions will become important.
Yoshida: You'll probably need to hold onto/carry a ton of logos actions to clear the dungeon. The type of logos actions you have will change the difficulty of the fight. If you're serious about beating the dungeon, you might need to choose the right ones.
We won't know until it releases, but it sure sounds like people that hate Eureka in the first place, won't like this at all anyway.
This thread is about Hydratos and the info in the recent interview about it, not Anemos, Pagos, or Pyros...so it would be best to read and understand before getting your jimmies in a twist about what someone is talking about and getting defensive about Eureka.
He didn't even say he didn't enjoy it lol, he actually drags me into Eureka all the time with him.
He was simply saying that the people who currently hate Eureka, going by the current interview info about Hydratos, probably won't like Hydratos either.
Yeah, you don't need to use logos in Pyros, but again this thread is about Hydratos and the interview that also mentions stuff about the Hydratos special dungeon.
The interview states that the fights in the Hydratos special dungeon are tuned around the players having logos actions and that you might need to carry a lot of them and use the right ones.
The interview also mentions that players will need something to have the right to enter it and if you die you need to reobtain the right to enter again. I mean it is all from Yoshida's words in the interview so maybe read first before replying to what people are talking about? O.o
Story:
Krile: Cool place, huh? Hey, go collect a crystal for me. Oh btw you can't use mounts here because reasons.
3 levels later: Oh hey, I need another one from somewhere else
5 levels later: Go, need moar crystals!
Max level: Go into a death trap and investigate something for me because you're totally more capable. Something about people, something about things.
*Congrats, you can ride mounts. Too bad you're going to forget how to use them from one side of the island to the next. lololol*
The end. Rinse and repeat.
You don't even know what it is for sure. How about making this post when you're not just guessing what it is? I swear...
